On hotter summer days, my friends would open up their PC tower cases and point a tiny oscillating fan towards the hardware. It looked barbaric with the case all broken apart and the innards showing but it worked well with expelling heat!

I've seen videos and read posts about people that have mounted case fans on the outside of a case to help support better airflow. That's one possibility!
