I am excited because I have come up with the idea of recreating historical monuments of my country (Venezuela), but in the style of Minecraft. I really like this game because it allows us to create buildings, complete environments and even with characters included.
In this first version, I have recreated the Guácharo Monument. Because I found it very striking from a construction point, I have not visited it personally, but I hope one day to make this trip.
Knowing a little about the Guácharo:
In El Caripe, there is the Cueva del Guácharo which is a beautiful rocky construction. Literature indicates that the first time it was visited, Alexander Humboldt did it in 1799. It is also surrounded by a forest rich in a variety of trees. Inside the cave, the most characteristic bird in the area is the
Guácharo. This is a nocturnal bird, used to living in the internal rocky area.
As a monument of appreciation and significant, the monument of the wonderful bird of Guácharo is located at the entrance of Caripe. It is a beautiful and detailed sculpture, sculpted by Jesús David Martínez.
The Guácharo cave and everything that relates to it, is impregnated with the indigenous culture of the area, which dates back to the invasion of the Spanish. The story goes, that the cave was inhabited by ancestor spirits, it was a totally sacred site. Entering the cave was largely a one-way trip. This is how the natives believed and professed it, to the point of keeping guardians at the entrance.
In a personal way, this is amazing. I like mystical airs, the ancestors led a very spiritual life. Knowing our history is part of the pleasant pleasure of living.
Recreating the Guácharo Monument:
I anticipate that this work I have done with great care and enthusiasm, it is a way of reaffirming the value of beauty that my country has.
Step by Step:
1.- The first thing I did was count the blocks that I could use, so that the monument will have the correct dimensions.
2.- After counting all the blocks, I built the site or base, where the bird is located.
3.- Now the next thing was to make the garden that surrounds the Guácharo. I counted the blocks again and made it look as much as possible to the real monument.
4.- Then I put the flowers in the garden, so I improvised an area calculation. Now I started with the construction of the bird, starting by making the feet, continued with the training of the body and finally the head.
The Guácharo bird is brown, so I made it complete in that color. Now came the smallest details, like the eyes and the beak. Lastly added, I made him the wings. This is so that our bird completely recreates the monument, and symbolically demonstrates the ability to hunt and fly.
The last thing I have added are trees and benches to sit down. This seemed to me that it added detail and atmosphere.
Personally, I think this recreational activity is so enjoyable. It is like a way to bring a historical and natural heritage to a more entertaining and vivid point, related to one of the things I like the most is to build digitally in games.

Estoy emocionado porque se me ha ocurrido la idea de recrear monumentos históricos de mi país (Venezuela), pero al estilo de Minecraft. Este juego me gusta mucho porque permite realizar edificaciones, ambientes completos y hasta con personajes incluídos.
En esta primera versión, he recreado el Monumento del Guácharo. Porque me pareció muy llamativo desde un punto de construcción, no lo he visitado personalmente, pero espero algún día realizar este viaje.
Conociendo un poco sobre el Guácharo:
En el Caripe, existe la cueva del Guácharo que es una hermosa construcción rocosa. La literatura indica que la primera vez que fue visitada, lo hizo Alexander Humboldt en el año 1799. Se encuentra a la vez rodeada por un bosque rico en variedad de árboles. Dentro de la cueva, el ave más característica de la zona es el
Guácharo. Esta es un ave nocturna, acostumbrada a vivir en el área rocosa interna.
Cómo monumento de aprecio y significativo, se encuentra en la entrada de Caripe el monumento de la maravillosa ave de Guácharo. Es una escultura hermosa y detallosa, esculpida por Jesús David Martínez.
La cueva del Guácharo y todo lo que la relaciona, lleva impregnado la cultura indígena de la zona, que data desde la invasión de los españoles. Cuenta la historia, que la cueva era habitada por espíritus de antepasados, era un sitio totalmente sagrado. Entrar en la cueva significaba en gran parte, un viaje sin regreso. Así lo creían y profesaban los indígenas, tanto al punto de mantener guardianes en la entrada.
De manera personal, esto es asombroso. Me gustan los aires místicos, los antepasados llevaban una vida muy espiritual. Conocer nuestra historia, es parte del grato placer de vivir.
Recreando el Monumento del Guácharo:
Les anticipo que esté trabajo lo he hecho con esmero y con mucho entusiasmo, es una manera de reafirmar el valor de la belleza que tiene mi país.
Paso a paso:
1.- Lo primero que hice fue contar los bloques que podía usar, para que el monumento contará con las dimensiones correctas.
2.- Luego de contar todos los bloques, construí el sitio o base, donde se ve ubicada el ave.
3.- Ahora lo siguiente fue hacer el jardín que rodea al Guácharo. Conté de nuevo los bloques e irlo pareciendo lo más posible al monumento real.
4.- Seguidamente puse las flores del jardín, así improvisé un cálculo de área. Ahora empecé con la construcción del ave, iniciando por hacerle los pies, continuado con la formación el cuerpo y por último la cabeza.
El ave Guácharo es de color marrón, así que lo hice completo de ese color. Ahora venían los detalles más pequeños, como los ojos y el pico. Por último agregado, le hice las alas. Esto para que nuestra ave recree por completo el monumento, y de manera simbólica demuestre la capacidad de caza y de vuelo.
Lo último que he agregado son unos árboles y bancos para sentarse. Esto me pareció que agregaba detalle y ambiente.
De manera personal, pienso que es tan agradable esta actividad de recreación. Es como una forma de llevar un patrimonio histórico y natural a un punto más entretenido y vívido, relacionado a una de las cosas que más me gusta que es construir digitalmente en juegos.
