Time to beat some ass 🤛🥋🇨🇳

I want to start today's post off with a brief story. I was driving home from my weekend out of town and was pondering about what the PS Plus Essential titles were going to be for March 2024. It was the day before the official announcement was released by PlayStation, so I didn't have to wait much longer to find out. I figured I'd put one last wish out into the world to ideally manifest the game that I want to play. I said out loud "Please just give me Sifu" and I swear to god the next day Sifu was announced as one of the free games. Out of the thousands of games that it could have been, it was Sifu. I cannot even begin to explain how hyped I was about this as I've wanted to play this game for quite a while.

Sifu is an enthralling martial arts action game developed by Sloclap, known for their work on Absolver, and published by Prime Matter. Set in a stylized urban environment, the game places players in the role of a young Kung Fu student on a quest for vengeance following the murder of their family. Embracing the essence of traditional martial arts, Sifu offers players a challenging and skill-based combat system, drawing inspiration from classic Kung Fu films and emphasizing precise timing, strategic mastery, and adaptive techniques to overcome adversaries.

The game's unique mechanic features an aging protagonist who grows stronger with every defeat, offering a fresh take on character progression. With each demise, the player's character ages, gaining experience and evolving their combat abilities, providing a balance between difficulty and empowerment. This innovative approach to character development adds depth to the game's narrative and gameplay, encouraging players to learn from their mistakes and adapt their fighting style as they progress through the game's intricate and stylishly designed levels.

Sifu has captivated audiences with its striking visual aesthetic, captivating storytelling, and dynamic combat system, delivering an immersive and challenging experience that pays homage to classic martial arts cinema. The game's emphasis on skillful combat, character progression, and a richly detailed world ensures that players are immersed in a compelling and emotionally resonant journey through the world of Kung Fu, offering a fresh and engaging take on the action genre.

I've heard a lot of people claim that this game can be brutally difficult. The skill ceiling is high with this one and it'll take quite some time to master the gameplay. I've also seen some people call this Souls-like, but I think it only flirts with that idea. There are some similarities, but Sifu is the only Sifu out there. Maybe we will start getting Sifu-like games since this one did so well.

As excited as I am to showcase this amazing game, I'm also nervous because I know my gameplay will be sloppy for the first dozen or so hours. It is what it is. I'm just glad to finally have this game in my library and I aim to master the combat so I can show off my skills again later.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

Always was interessted in that game but never got time so i didn't
bought it so i was glad to hear it comes to PSPlus.....
Sadly i got no time for Sifu since i'm totaly in Helldivers2 right now xD

Sifu is really difficult, I still haven’t gotten the hang of the combat fully.
I’ve been wanting to play Helldivers 2, but I haven’t purchased it still. I have way too many games in my library for free right now. Although I think Helldivers 2 would totally be a perfect game for me.

I would put Helldivers 2 in the "Among Us or Fall Guys" categorie it's ok when playing solo, but absolutly fun when playing with friends.

That’s honestly the main reason I haven’t gotten it. I don’t have a core group of friends to play multiplayer games with anymore.

This game is a marvel. How good the combat feels is a pleasure. Although it's hard to adapt at first, once you master it you can feel very powerful doing parrys and evading almost everything haha.

The first level was simple enough. The second level ups the difficulty to where it’s not so simple anymore. I’m trying to get a hang of the combat, but it just goes so deep.

Oh Yea! that game is badass!

my favorite part was when u ran and jumped into the training area.. then the girl there said some smart ass thing to u..

and, u slapper her WITH UR PIPE! (was it a car exhaust?) :P

I remember that same kungfu side action.. this was the 'kungfu' game I played..

gaming sure has come a long way..

Pipe to the face cause I got no time to waste.

I never played the classic kung-fu game, but I bet Sifu drew some inspiration from it.

The fighting system of this game is good, it has a touch of difficulty and the design of the game looks very good.

This game mirrors real kung fu more than any other game I’ve played.
