The holiday event in dCrops has come to an end, and it's time to take a look at some of the stats and data from the event. From limited edition NFTs to in-game item rewards, there were a variety of prizes and incentives for players to participate in the event.

Event Overview

The event included various items that players could exchange for the event currency. These items included "Alpha Pack," "Beta Pack," "Xmas Tree," "Gingerbread Cookie," "Present," "Mystery Seed," "Speed-Gro," "Ferti-Plus," and "Reward Chest ++."

The exchange rates varied for different items, and some items had limits on the number of exchanges allowed. The items "Xmas Tree" and "Gingerbread Cookie" had limits of 2 and 4, respectively.

Candy Earnings

Players could earn candies by performing actions such as planting, harvesting, completing quests, crafting claims, buying packs, workshop claiming, construction, and gifting. The number of candies earned for each action varied between a range of values.

For selling items, players received candies between 30%-100% of the item's share value.

Buy Packs: 5,801 actions, earning 660,016 candies
Complete Quest: 1,967 actions, earning 146,280 candies
Bribe Santa: 113 actions, spending 565,000 CROP Tokens
Craft Claim: 2,850 actions, earning 135,607 candies

Gift Stats

Players also gave and received gifts during the event. Here are the stats for the gifts:

Daily Gifts: 9,084 gifts given
Gifts given to others: 412 gifts bought, spending 20,600 candies
Gifts bought for yourself: 1,026 actions, spending 820,250 candies

Conclusion

The Christmas 2022 event was a huge success, with a total of 618 players participating and earning 2,433,072 candies. A total of 113 players bribed Santa and received 2.8 presents on average. The limited items in the event shop were gone fairly quickly and we decided to top up some more ALPHA and BETA packs halfway through the event.

The event was also successful in terms of user engagement, with 1026 users buying gifts for themselves and 412 gifts bought and given to others. Users also accumulated a total of 1807.25 points for the raffle indicating that users were interested in the raffle prizes. 1395.25 points out of those were obtained by adding cards to the event collection. These cards were won by other players when they opened their presents.

In conclusion, the Christmas 2022 event was a success, with active user participation and engagement. The various ways to earn and spend candies kept users engaged and incentivized to participate in different activities. The raffle prizes and limited edition items were a great way to reward users for their participation, and we look forward to running similar events in the future.
