My first Dungeon Crawler and this game is HARD!

For those of us who are somewhat disconnected from video games, perhaps the word "roguelike" seems strange. At first, I didn't understand anything about that type of game, and I certainly wasn't interested either.

Until I tried it. My peak gaming career was when I was around 18 and still living at my parents' house. I had no responsibilities and could spend all day playing the newly released Watch Dogs.

Things are completely different now. All the studios I used to love are now being shunned by most gamers in favor of simpler offerings.

One thing that surprised me about Enter the Dungeon is how unrecognizable it is to me. It feels more like one of those Flash games that used to be played in a browser.

But I promise you it's way more fun. Imagine how much fun it is.

You enter the cave, everything is mixed up, and you don't know what you're going to find, whether it's monsters, a shop to buy weapons, or some other reward. Nothing is defined.

It's a pure arcade shooter. You aim and shoot at everything in a room you're locked in until you survive by shooting everyone, only to move forward and do the same thing a couple of times. more

No need to heal, agility pays off here. If you know how to dodge the bullets thrown at you, you'll have more health to advance and you'll have more chances to improve your equipment and be able to go further. far away

This game is about bullets, precise aiming is a must from the first minute, even more so when you have an enemy barrage covering the entire screen.

We start with a simple shooter, but the game quickly becomes more challenging. Suddenly, there are enemies that can shoot in circles in all directions, and positioning has to be precise.

And from there, the speed only increases to levels that are impossible for me in this game. moment

There's also always the feeling that you have to enter your play area a lot and use superhuman powers to avoid losing health as you explore rooms.

I can't say it's It's fun to lose.

But once we do and return to the beginning, not all is lost because we can spend experience points on things like weapons and start from the beginning with better equipment.

imagen.png

It won't take all the time, and the progress we have to make to find the experience points needed to buy a weapon is rather late, but it gives progression to your game. game

The game is difficult, more than you'd expect. Although I started playing it without knowing anything, I was surprised by how difficult it gets. quickly

As soon as you finish in an area, you move on to the next one. In that area, you're introduced to a new gunman with new attacks that you have to learn to avoid. Or you can do like me and hide until you get a handle on what you're up to. you face

My focus at first is to beat the final boss and see what happens next. Since this is a game focused more on arcade gameplay, I don't expect any big revelations, but I do expect some replayability.

I almost forgot to mention that you have many characters to unlock as well as weapons to purchase. In that regard, the game is very well covered, and for the most part, we can vary the game greatly from the start.

These characters have extra abilities for the road but for now I have only focused on shooting and avoiding being shot.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SEE YOU

this looks like something that would stay interesting to me for about an hour. I do appreciate the retro graphics though but rogue-likes are a tough sell for me since I have only ever played one that I stuck with, the others, I thought, were too dependent on how lucky you were with the drops, which I guess is kind of the point.

They do get more fun as you acquire better starting gear, but for many people, this takes too long to actually make happen.

I tried it a couple of weeks ago, didn't like the controls, so I returned it. Just wanted to see why this game is so popular. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to shine on me lol. But it seemed a bit slow at the start to me.

What a fun overview! It looks similar to a bullethell type of game where the screen is just covered in pellets fired by the enemy and the player has to navigate through the tiny spaces inbetween. Super challenging and definitely satisfying to beat.

I've been glancing at the game on Steam and your post painted a clear picture. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
