New Years 2025 Events In Pokemon TCG Pocket

Hi there. This will be a short post. In the Pokémon TCG Pocket mobile game there are New Years events for 2025 where you have increased chances to collect in game items.

Pictures are screenshots from my Redmi Note 13 Pro phone.

New Stuff Starting In 2025

What is nice about the Pokemon TCG Pocket game is they release events frequently to keep things fresh. Around every 2 weeks or so there is some in game event to keep people interested and to increase the odds of collecting in game items. I am a free to play (F2P) player who does not spend money on this game but I do have quite of a bit of cards. (I started early during the New Zealand launch.)

Players have from January 1, 2025 to January 8, 2025 to complete the missions. Here are some screenshots.

For simply logging in the game you earn this cute Pikachu promo in game card. It is very colourful. If there was a physical card version of this the price would be easily 10 CAD and above.

The other missions require you to do some battles online, collect cards, do wonder picks and open packs from the latest Mythical Island expansion.

The hardest missions to complete in my opinion would be collecting 100 cards and using pack stamina to open 5 Mythical Island booster packs. You would need a fair bit of in game pack hourglasses.

Blastoise Drop Event

There is also a Blastoise Drop Event where you earn rewards for completing solo missions against the CPU in the mobile game. You have the beginner battle, intermediate battle, advanced battle and the expert battle. This event lasts from January 1 to January 15, 2025.

I have not started the missions at the time of writing. It is a good idea to play electric decks like Pikachu ex to exploit the Water weakness of the Blastoise evolution line and Articuno.

Here are the 5 promo cards you can get when you earn Promo Pack A Series Volume 3. There is a better attacking version of Snivy, Volcarona, Blastoise cool promo card, Eevee and Cinccino.

I love this game, I have always enjoyed opening card packs and seeing the designs they have but sadly I often forget to open the packs but the times I do open them I enjoy them immensely. You also reminded me to finish the tutorial for playing PVP with the cards.

A lot of the card designs look really nice. If they printed some of the art cards physically people may go crazy with their wallets for them.

Yes. Don't forget the daily missions to earn stuff.
