As a gamer it is interesting how little attention I ever paid to the position of spells being casted from a character. They just felt natural so I never put much thought into it.

On the game dev side of things my caster’s fireballs coming from a point in relation to the characters hand seem way off and not natural to aim with. Moving it to center mass made it look unnatural.

Melee on the other hand has been much easier to deal with. Just have to make sure they are not getting extra damage when the weapon mesh collides a couple of times in a single swing.

I never noticed it either until using virtus's RPG series and he gets you positioning it to go with the animation of the hand.
My problem is working out how to cast it from where ever the VR hand is which is one step soon, maybe next week. Melee will eventually come too.
