I tried to reach the Champions league but time was not enough.
Cards are quite in a cheap state now, so, use that DEC to reinvest and improve your deck, and in no time you can reach gold. There are still lots of level 1 summoners in gold.

Depends on what you wish to do... if only playing splinterlands, then I would invest on cards... if you wanna try something else and also keep playing, make a 50/50% split for a healthy distribution I would say.
Thanks for the suggestion, I think I'll go with the 50/50. I will look for some cards later :)
