When I was a kid, I also had a very soft spot for the Saturn version between the PC port being easy to run in my laptop and that the Saturn version was optimized to play great with keyboard/D-Pad. I haven't revisited it in a good while but its certainly easier to love the arcade version when you can play it on an analog stick/wheel, and more so when you grow up and might notice even more the 20fps of the old port.
The first port, at least. The second port (CCE/CE on Saturn, Deluxe on PC) feels different but does have more stable framerate, graphics and two new tracks.
