The price for victory is so steep!

Columbina's plan cost the other moon goddesses their lives. It is a bold move and it was very cinematic. The price though was very high. I'm certain miHoYo spent some time figuring out how they wanted the three goddesses to look and what they came up with was gorgeous! However because the story is what it is, we will never see them again and so miHoYo bit that bullet hard. I'm sure many people would have wanted to play as those three which is profit this company boldly sacrificed for the sake of telling their story. Not bad.

There is also the tragic fate of Rerir and Tholindis. Now I wasn't the biggest fan of spending so much time on Khaenri'ah when we haven't even gotten to the final nation in this game's Part 1 section. I feel like it just made the story into too much filler for it to really matter. However their fate was done tastefully and had they just shortened it down to the importance it actually held in the story, I think it would have made this ending hit harder as we wouldn't have been annoyed by how much information we were getting about them that didn't relate to anything.

Also both of these fates are science derived which I appreciate. Columbina created a stable time loop in order to change the outcome of the present situation. Rerir and Tholindis are actually showing that the "Moon Gate" they fell into is essentially a black hole. Nothing they can do will save them. They are just being drawn into the singularity which is located in time, specifically the distant past.

Anyway there's only one more section of this quest left so I'll see you guys tomorrow for that!
