A few decades ago, I discovered a passion for TCGs with the emergence of Magic the Gathering in our countries. I discovered an alternative to traditional card games, offering a playful and strategic dimension but also a fantastic universe close to any good RPG. Of course, with time my interests changed a bit and the pre-teen I was then lost interest in this game in favour of various other experiences. It is only in 2015 and under the impetus of some work colleagues that I was able to reconnect with this type of game through the arrival of Hearthstone on PC and mobile.
Although I consider myself an inveterate gamer and despite a very assiduous start, I have never had the opportunity to obtain the holy grail of reaching the legend rank. However, this goal of completeness proper to my habits as a seasoned gamer has run into walls time and time again. I can't count the number of times I reached the final rank with four or five victories to go without being able to advance, confronting more experienced opponents or those with more resources...
There followed a period of frustration, with long periods of hiatus from the game. I would move on, only to return six months or a year later and so on for over six years. Just when all seemed lost, my renewed interest in Hearthstone two months ago finally brought me to that point. Yes, I have finally joined the very select clan of the best European players on the ladder! To top it all off, this feat was achieved in the first week of this month!
In order to achieve this, I was inspired by an existing paladin deck while adding a personal touch. This one is a mix of a secret deck that can be destabilizing for the opponent with the combination of an aggressive game centered around buffs and tokens that are difficult to manage. This choice was finally the right one as I managed to climb the ladder in record time! I'm extremely happy and proud to have been able to achieve this goal which was becoming a burden. My motto: "Never give up"! I can finally cross Hearthstone off my list of games to finish. It's done!
