I'm not too sure! I didn't really read any of the patch notes or anything; I actually had an advertisement show up on Facebook, it was a gaming magazine talking about the new world generation and I was curious enough to have a look for myself. 😅

I've started my proper game now and within the first 10 minutes I've noticed a big difference in regards to clay - you can find it while mining now instead of in water.

I guess I'll soon find out if emeralds have changed. The biome I'm in is just "dark_forest" but it's so mountainous...... I mine a bit further and the biome turns into "lush_caves". Would be nice to find some emeralds and things in the caves too! There has to be something worthy in these things... they're so massive. There needs to be a point to exploring them.
