Satisfactory ~ a screenshot showcase of a game's wasted potential.

Satisfactory, currently in Early Access, is the type of game that makes me wonder, "Just what are the developers thinking!?"

The game is absolutely beautiful.

We are on a gorgeous alien planet, surrounded by exotic flora, splendour, a plethora of different biomes in which to explore, and instead of creating an amazing open-world RPG, for some horrendous reason they've created a...

...factory simulator.

Our current base of operations. It's a mess, haha.

I mean, the game is fun. But I just feel like they could be doing so much more with it than just a factory simulator. My partner is doing all the factory stuff and I'm just wandering around, admiring the game, thinking about how much wasted potential it has.

If I'm going to be playing a factory simulator, part of me would prefer the landscape be a barren desert, or look like Mars, or something; not this lush wilderness that could totally have elves hiding in the trees and secret cities buried deep within the forests.

Allow me to share some of the prettiest regions of the game, that I've discovered so far.

It's so freakin' beautiful!

So much wasted potential.

Such disappoint.

It's fun though, I'll give it that.

I'm not sure what the actual point of this game is other than crafting mass amounts of things then sending them off into space, but, it's fun. 🤷‍♀️

You can find it on the Steam Store behind these blue words!

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by! 🙃

The game looks beautiful!

I first saw this on lets game it out channel. Josh is a gamer who exploits the game and make fun of it in every way possible. So much so that usually the game crashes. See his take here -

That was pretty amusing, haha! What he does at the very start of the video -- roaming around, murdering the wildlife; that's basically all I'm doing. :D With a lot of shrieking. Doesn't look like he came across the giant spiders yet.

Last night I was exploring, looking for these giant slugs that act as overcharging batteries, when a giant spider stabs me and throws me off a cliff. I'm shrieking and going, "No, no, noooo!!" and my partner is just, "Will you stop dying?"

So dangerous, haha. Factory Building Game? More like Battle Mother Nature Game.

Idk, you spent how long exploring this vast space and got to see all these unique sites. If it were just the red planet and you knew over the next crater lip was another crater lip and another crater lip after that would you go exploring? Hopefully they end up utilizing them in some way. I don't know anything about the game, but I can see certain biomes being abundant in a few materials over another (assuming the game works like that at all lol) Hopefully they utilize it.

I think they're planning on utilising it! Part of the game's description is something about how all of nature's resources is at your fingertips to take for yourself and ravage... actually, just checked the page lol:

Venture on expeditions to search for new materials and be sure to put everything to good use. Nature is yours to harvest!

Close enough to what I thought it said, hahaha.

It's still in early access and there are a few things you come across that are clearly marked as Work In Progresses and whatnot, and it really is a good, fun game. I just hope the devs keep making games that look as amazing as this and perhaps one of them will be an adventure RPG.

It's developed by the same guys who made Goat Simulator, haha! xD So, who knows.

The graphics absolutely suit a different genre of game. It is a good game, for being in early access, but the beautiful graphics and destructive nature of the playstyle just seem at odds, haha. 😅
