50 Hours of Headaches in the World of Anno 1800

After long 50 hours of gameplay, I could finally earn $$$

50 hours is almost like 2 days’ worth of your time if you were playing non-stop. When you put it that way, it doesn’t seem that long. However, if you play this type of game, 8 hours is kind of pushing it.

I am not sure about you but for me, I got a pounding headache playing this game 8 hours straight without ever leaving my desk. That’s why after such experience I’ve only been playing 2-4 hours at max at least once in a day and except that one week I uninstalled the game.

Eventually, I got back again because, what would I do in my boring life without anything that’s remotely stimulating?

During my first gameplay, I kept finding myself going into bankruptcy. It was less than 30 minutes of a play and I was already defeat. However, I eventually found a way to finally earn some income and a fast-track becoming billionaire in Anno 1800.

Sell potatoes and soaps

It’s not that hard to finally earn some $$. If you were wanting to get ahead in this game, just make sure to have enough potato fields to trade and sold to the nearby prison.

Then, once you unlock soaps, make lots of it and eventually sell it. Don’t try to sell anything else cause they’re worthless. It’s best if you could just hustle with quests while automating the soaps and potatoes trade. They are the kind of trade that will send you to settle into other islands and buy out stocks from another player’s island.

Just as you see above, those are my trade routes and the only goods I am selling or buying. I don’t really do anything else, and I was racking pretty good amount and was being able to advance into Chapter 3 which is called “prosperity” in the game.

Unlocking new world advancing to chapter 3

This game has that premise of “Old” & “New” World setting. This time, I was able to advance into chapter 3 and unlocked the “new world” which essentially is a tropical paradise.

Before unlocking this new chapter, we must first uncover the actual killer of Samuel’s, supposedly the character’s father. We then must decipher some alien language and eventually started our first expedition into the new world.

In the new world, we’ll have to start over just as we did in the old world. However, we can move between two worlds with the ships and initiate trade between the two. The trade can be profitable as there are some goods that are in demand in the old world and can only be grown or made in the new world.

Think about the colonialization era where spices aren’t grown in Europe, but they must colonize other islands and areas to get some native goods that aren’t available in their “old” world.

With this game, I’ve been chasing quite a perfection with the layout as I’d love to better organize it. That’s why sometimes I start over with a new character and a new set of layouts just to find which one is more optimized.

So far, I think 4x4 or 4x3 housing are ideal. Since in this game, you shouldn’t overbuild but rather manage all the resources and even halting any production when necessary.

During my previous gameplay, I didn’t really consider all that factor including the occupancies in a single house. Knowing the resident numbers and the job availability would really help as it helps with the labour shortage problem that is often arising in the game.

You don’t have to fill up the island with just houses but taking the time to organize and manage would be enough to actually making richest in this game.
A few more chapters to go…

When you play a campaign mode, there are a couple of chapters that you can advance to complete the game. From what I saw all around even to my competitors island, we could even unlock trains that would make goods transportation even faster.

That would perhaps take another 50 hours of my time before I could do all of that. So, stay tuned for my next 100 hours of Anno 1800.

Simulation games are quite easy to.lpse the time on...

I'm currently on Warpath and it's quite something 😂😂✨

Yeah, these kind of games are great to pass on the time. Sometimes you won't know an hour or 8 has passed. The only thing you'd feel is probably some discomfort haha

The Dam scenario is pretty hard.

Right? I stopped yesterday but I am going to move to chapter 4 sometime this week. It's potatoes and soaps trade for life haha

LOL, A great trick I found is to pause a lot of the things that run out, so that once I have a chance, trigger everything on and do the next phase.

oooh thanks for this trick! I'll try it next time I am playing that. I just wanna finish the campaign so bad 🤣

is it a Playtoearn game Cem?
You play really hard on this game. hahah

It's not play to earn, just simple strategy game. I definitely played a little too hard on this one haha. It's one of the genre I love playing and I want to unlock more things hehe

Hmm interesting, is it real cash, if so how much can you earn paer day just trading

It's not real cash, just the in-game currency. You have to be rich to be able to buy out islands and stuff.

ohhh i see ohh well its still a nice game

Oh no, you broke the young girl's heart. 😁

(Wen games that can make us rich enough to buy islands?)

🤣 hahahahahaha yeah. If games like this were actually making us real money, I'd be rich by now

Wow nice

You are my idol. I really love world building and economy management games. But the time is just not working out for me to put in some serious playtime. But I am setting up a games and entertainment room in my new house
