Today, I bring you a game called Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, an adventure and open-world game.

I'm here to share with you the story mode of this game, where we'll accompany Edward Kenway, a young pirate with ambitions for wealth, who finds himself entangled in a conflict between Templars and Assassins that goes beyond anything he can imagine.

Hoy les traigo un juego llamado Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag es un juego de aventuras y mundo abierto.

Vengo a compartir con ustedes el modo historia de este juego en el que tendremos que acompañar Edwar Kenway un joven pirata con ambiciones de riqueza, quien se ve envuelto en un conflicto entre Templarios y asesinos que va más allá de lo que puede imaginar.

The sun rose more violently than usual today, as if foreshadowing the mess I was about to get into. I was right in the middle of the sequence known as The Burden, one of those missions that seem simple on paper but, in practice, demand all your senses fully alert. As soon as I reached the beach, my crewmates were already waiting for me. The mission was clear: escort a vessel through enemy raiders until it could break through the blockade. Easy to say, much harder to pull off.

Me encontraba en plena secuencia conocida como El Burlote, una de esas misiones que parecen sencillas en el papel pero que en la práctica te exigen todos los sentidos bien despiertos. Apenas llegué a la playa mis compañeros ya me esperaban, la misión era clara escoltar una embarcación por entre merodeadores enemigos hasta que pudiera abrirse paso y romper el bloqueo. Fácil de decir, complicado de ejecutar.

Fortunately, the fight wasn’t as brutal as I had imagined. With a few well-aimed cannon shots, swift maneuvers, and a couple of well-executed boardings, we managed to come out on top in no time. The feeling of triumph at sea is different—it’s salty, intense, and always comes with the creaking of the hull and the sails flapping like flags of freedom. But since a pirate’s life never truly knows rest, a few days later, Master Kidd tracked me down. And there I was, wrapped in cheap rum and the unmistakable stench of tavern and women—a classic portrait of Edward Kenway, I’ll admit. 😅

Afortunadamente, el combate no fue tan crudo como imaginé. Con algunos disparos certeros de cañón, maniobras rápidas y un par de abordajes bien ejecutados, logramos salir airosos en poco tiempo. La sensación de triunfo en el mar es distinta es salada, intensa, y siempre viene acompañada del crujir del casco y las velas ondeando como banderas de libertad. Pero como en la vida de un pirata nunca hay descanso verdadero, pasados unos días el maese Kidd dio conmigo. Y ahí estaba yo, envuelto en ron barato y con el inconfundible hedor de taberna y mujeres, un clásico retrato de Edward Kenway, lo admito.😅

After a talk with Kidd—which felt more like a scolding disguised as a friendly chat—I set off in search of my old comrade Thatch. And so began Sequence 8. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was completely different. A festive vibe soaked everything: music, laughter, bonfires, and raised mugs as if the end of the world had just been postponed. Thatch—or Blackbeard, for the more formal types—welcomed me with that warm spirit he’s known for. A tough guy, no doubt, but genuine, loyal to the core, and with a gunpowder-proof life philosophy.

Tras una charla con Kidd, que más bien fue un jalón de orejas disfrazado , partí en busca de mi viejo camarada Thatch. Con ello arrancó la secuencia 8, desde que llegué al lugar, el ambiente era completamente distinto. Una vibra festiva lo impregnaba todo música, risas, fogatas y jarras alzadas como si el fin del mundo hubiera sido cancelado. Thatch o Barbanegra, para los más formales me recibió con ese aire acogedor que lo caracteriza. Un tipo rudo pero genuino, leal hasta la médula y con una filosofía de vida a prueba de pólvora.

Between one conversation and the next, he confessed his decision to retire. It sounded like a bad joke, but he meant it. He invited me to stay and celebrate with him—and how could I say no to one last party with one of the few people I truly trust?

Entre charla y charla, me confesó su decisión de retirarse. Sonaba a mal chiste, pero lo decía en serio. Me invitó a quedarme y celebrar con él, y cómo negarse a una última juerga con uno de los pocos en los que realmente confío.

However, as the rum flowed and the music lifted everyone’s spirits, something caught my eye. A crew member—one I didn’t recall seeing before—was acting strangely. He kept to himself, always watching others, moving cautiously, like he was plotting something. My curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to follow him discreetly. I won’t say more for now, but what I uncovered left me stunned.

Sin embargo, mientras el ron corría y la música animaba el ambiente, algo llamó mi atención. Un tripulante, uno que no recordaba haber visto antes, se comportaba de forma extraña. Siempre apartándose del grupo, atento a los movimientos de los demás, y con un aire de estar tramando algo. Me picó la curiosidad y decidí seguirlo discretamente. No diré más por ahora, pero lo que descubrí me dejó perplejo.
