The truth behind Himiko.

Hello, #HiveGaming community. Today I come to you with trembling hands after what I experienced in my latest session of Tomb Raider. I feel like I’m reaching a point where I’m no longer the same Lara who began this journey. Something has changed, something has broken—and something has also been forged.

Hola, comunidad de #HiveGaming. Hoy vengo con las manos aún temblorosas por lo que viví en mi más reciente sesión de Tomb Raider, siento que estoy llegando a una etapa en la que ya no soy la misma Lara que empezó esta aventura, algo ha cambiado, algo se ha quebrado y también se ha forjado.

It all began with an unexpected upgrade—I found an item that enhances my new bow, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like a gift from the gods. With every improvement, the bow becomes not just a more effective tool, but an extension of my will. I no longer shoot on instinct; now I shoot with purpose. As if every arrow could bend fate.

Todo comenzó con una mejora inesperada, conseguí un objeto que potencia mi nuevo arco, y no exagero si digo que fue como recibir un regalo de los dioses. Con cada mejora, el arco se convierte no solo en una herramienta más efectiva, sino en una prolongación de mi voluntad. Ya no disparo por instinto, ahora disparo con propósito. Como si cada flecha pudiera torcer el destino.

With this new weapon in hand, I began exploring places that had previously been inaccessible. It’s amazing how the game rewards curiosity—I crossed coastal areas I’d never set foot in, uncovering hidden paths along cliffs, semi-submerged caves, and even an old watch post overtaken by vegetation. That’s where I found more of those little treasures that seem to speak from the past: ancient coins, weathered documents, broken figurines—each item whispered fragments of forgotten stories.

Con esta nueva arma en mano, comencé a explorar lugares que antes me habían sido inaccesibles. Es increíble cómo el juego recompensa la curiosidad, atravesé zonas costeras que jamás había pisado, encontrando caminos ocultos entre acantilados, pequeñas cavernas semi hundidas y hasta un antiguo puesto de vigilancia devorado por la vegetación. Fue allí donde encontré más de esos pequeños tesoros que parecen hablar desde el pasado monedas antiguas, documentos deteriorados, estatuillas rotas , cada objeto parecía susurrarme fragmentos de historias olvidadas.

But the most striking part was yet to come. The coastline led me to a temple that looked like something out of a dream—or a nightmare. From a distance, I saw a figure at the center, motionless and imposing. My first instinct was to approach quietly, thinking someone might be waiting for me. But when I got close enough, I realized it was only a samurai armor—empty, yet powerful. I felt a mix of reverence and unease. There was something heavy in the air.

Pero lo más impactante estaba por venir. La costa me condujo a un templo que parecía sacado de un sueño (o una pesadilla). Desde la distancia, vi una figura en el centro, inmóvil, imponente. Mi primer impulso fue acercarme con sigilo, creyendo que se trataba de alguien esperándome. Pero cuando estuve lo suficientemente cerca, descubrí que era solo una armadura samurái, vacía pero poderosa. Sentí una mezcla de respeto y desconfianza, algo en el aire estaba cargado.

In that place, I discovered something that completely changed my understanding of the island. The story of Himiko, the Sun Queen, wasn’t just a myth. What I read and saw inside pointed to a much darker truth—Himiko didn’t just rule with spiritual power, but with a real influence that still lives on through time. And most disturbing of all, a clear clue about how she might be stopped.

En ese lugar descubrí algo que cambió por completo mi entendimiento de la isla. La historia de Himiko, la reina solar, no era simplemente un mito. Lo que leí y vi ahí dentro apuntaba a una verdad mucho más oscura, Himiko no solo gobernaba con poder espiritual, sino con una influencia real que sigue viva a través del tiempo. Y lo más perturbador, una pista clara de cómo podría detenerla.

With my stomach in knots and my mind racing, I regrouped with the others. We had reached the mountain pass—the point that would mark the next stage. I told them not to hesitate: “Shoot anything that comes close.” I knew what was coming wouldn’t leave room for mistakes.

Con el estómago revuelto y la mente a mil, me reuní con los muchachos. Habíamos llegado al paso montañoso, el punto que marcaría la próxima etapa. Les pedí que no dudaran: “Disparen a todo lo que se acerque.” Sabía que lo que venía no nos daría margen para errores.

While they prepared to hold the line, I went in alone. The samurai moved with ancestral discipline, setting everything up for a ritual. I slipped through the shadows, looking for an angle, an opening—something. But what I saw froze me to the core. I won’t go into too much detail yet, I’ll just say this: what they’re about to do is terrifying.

Mientras ellos se preparaban para resistir, me infiltré sola. Los samuráis se movían con disciplina ancestral, y estaban montando todo para un ritual. Me escabullí entre las sombras, buscando un ángulo, una oportunidad, algo. Pero lo que vi me dejó helada. No quiero dar muchos detalles todavía, solo diré que lo que están por hacer es aterrador.

Unfortunately, a power outage forced me to pause at that critical moment. I know the next chapter is going to be intense—perhaps the most important of all. And even though I don’t yet know how it will end, I do know one thing: I’m not giving up.

Desafortunadamente, un corte eléctrico me obligó a pausar justo en ese momento crítico. Sé que el próximo capítulo va a ser intenso, tal vez el más importante de todos. Y aunque aún no sé como terminara , sé que no voy a rendirme.
