The topic we will focus on today is about items. You know, the typical items that we usually get along our adventure in a video game that will serve to make our life more or less easy. These usually range from something as simple as a recovery potion, to a sword capable of killing enemies by simply unsheathing its blade.

I'm pretty VERY VERY sure that more than one here is familiar with Runescape. You know, that old school MMORPG that's been amassing an insane amount of players for over a decade now. The game came out in 2001, and since then it has come a long way to become what it is today.
But as usual with MMOs is that they have an internal market managed by the player base itself. Typical, rare item = expensive. That is why exchanging in-game items in exchange for gold (also in-game obviously) and then exchanging that gold for real money is a practice that has become very common.
The price of such items usually varies, however the one in this post is probably one of the most expensive in the entire game. I am talking about the Blue Party Hat. But, why did a simple party hat become so expensive? Well it turns out that this was exclusive to a Christmas event that was held in 2001, after an update in 2011 made this item impossible to trade, its price skyrocketed, currently reaching a value of up to $6,700.

Ya saben, los típicos items que solemos conseguir a lo largo de nuestra aventura en un videojuego que nos servirán para hacernos la vida más o menos fácil. Estos suelen ir desde algo tan simple como una poción recuperativa, hasta una espada capaz de matar a los enemigos con simplemente desenvainar su hoja.
Sin embargo, algo que suele pasar un tanto desapercibido es el hecho de que, muchas veces, estos objetos pueden llegar a contar con un valor monetario real, significando que podrían ser vendidos con el fin de llegar ganar algo de dinerito extra o hacerte asquerosamente rico.
¡Es por ello que hoy vamos a ver el top de los 5 objetos virtuales vendidos en un videojuego MÁS CAROS!

Imagina que estas tranquilo jugando al diablo III y ves como después de mucho esfuerzo un monstruo te dropea un martillo que no solo es extremadamente raro, sino que es super útil en combate. Con ello te llegan dos ideas a la mente: Usarlo para derrotar a cualquier iluso que ose enfrentarte

El Echoing Fury se trata de un martillo de Diablo III bastante raro, el cual contaba con la peculiaridad de que era capaz de hacerle daño a todo, absolutamente TODO en el juego. Así que ya te imaginarás el valor que llegó a alcanzar, siendo el más alto conocido la friolera cantidad de 14.000 dólares.
Una lastima que luego de una actualización el martillo fuera nerfeado de manera muy fuerte xd
Puesto 2: Una mascota de Dota 2
Vaya, Dota 2, quien diría que volvería a escuchar de este juego tantos años después xd.
Para los que no lo sepan, Dota 2 se trata de un videojuego perteneciente al genero MOBA el cual se caracteriza por colocar a distintos jugadores en una arena de batalla en línea en la cual los usuarios deberán de usar distintos personajes, estrategias, y roles para salir airosos del combate.
Con eso explicado tenemos que en Dota 2 existe la posibilidad de tener mascotas, las cuales cumplen con la función de transportar los objetos que haya comprado un jugador a cualquier parte del mapa.
Mientras que estos animales no suelen tener un valor más allá de su función de transporte, un jugador llamado PAADA terminó subastando en Reddit a una de estas criaturas por el precio de 38.000 dólares.
Seguro que te estaras preguntando porque un animal random alcanzó un precio tan alto, pues la respuesta está en que este en específico contaba con un muy inusual brillo rosa, lo que hizo que su valor se disparara en la tienda virtual del juego.

Y como no, este top no podría estar completo si no incluía al padre de las ventas online en videojuegos: Entropia Universe.
Este se trata de un titulo parecido al conocidisimo Second Life, en el cual nosotros seremos capaces de crear un avatar personalizable y empezar a interactuar con miles de usuarios en un entorno virtual ambientado en el espacio exterior. Vamos que es como No Man's Sky antes de No Man's Sky.
Algo que hay que tener muy en cuenta es que los jugadores de Entropia tratan la economía del juego de forma muy seria, no por nada las tres transacciones virtuales más caras jamás hechas en un videojuego vienen de aquí xd.
Pero para este puesto escogí el que vendría a ser la compra del Crystal Palace por la cantidad de 330.000 dólares.
Y la verdad es que más que una compra esto se terminó volviendo una inversión, pues su dueño terminó recuperando y ganando más de lo que gastó gracias a todas las personas que utilizaban los servicios del Crystal Palace.
Que digo yo, si tienes pa gastarte 330 mil en un palacio virtual bien podrías hacer lo mismo en la vida real xd.
