Let's Play Dave the Diver - Episode 5: Signs of Sea People Civilization

In the last episode, we hired a staff to serve the food faster to our customers and found a Rock Pile with mysterious symbols. Would that be the place where we find the lost Sea People Civilization?

But before diving we had to upgrade the diving suit and now Dave can dive as deep as 230 meters with ease. This level 4 diving suit just cost 500 and we are making more than that per night in our Sushi restaurant.

Dr. Banco gave us an underwater camera so we could take pictures of cool spots or rare fish we found. Well, he did it so we can photograph any finding on the Sea People. And Cobra gave us a Bomb to blow up the Stone.

We placed the bombs Cobra gave us to blow up the entrance. It was a huge explosion. We went inside to have a look.

It was a Sea People Record Chamber! What an interesting discovery! There were inscriptions on the walls. Picture of a powerful king-like figure on the big wall.

There were no feet but scales which indicates this was a mural of Sea People. There was writing we couldn't decipher and Dave heard some whispering too. Could those be the Sea People we were looking for? We found an artefact lying on the floor.

Our task was completed for today. We already filled our bag with fish before entering this record chamber so it was time to leave.

After coming back to the boat and giving the artefact to the doctor... a boat full of angry protestors came protesting against damaging the sea. Even they heard the huge explosion xD.

These were part of the Sea Blue organisation and even committed acts of violence under the pretext of environmental protection... at least we were told this story.

Anyways, Cobra's shop was open now. We could buy a one-time-use item from the shop before diving. Some of these are not bad. But the selection is random and you have to choose one from the three shown options. And remember the Gold Bar we got for saving the Pink Dolphin? We can sell it to him for 500 coins!

Back at the Sushi restaurant, we upgraded our Cooksta rank to Silver which unlocked 3 new recipes and some other cool things. The extra slots for serving and cooking along with the extra menu slot are going to help a lot.

That night we were visited by a VIP, Vincent. Who wants Bancho to cook something which can surprise him? Bancho now has two days to come up with a dish.

He wanted Dave to get two specific ingredients from the Sea. Sea Grapes and Spotted Jellyfish! They are in the limestone cave about 100m in depth. That won't be an issue.

We hired two more staff members. One will be used for serving and the other for cooking. This is going to help our business a lot. But the chart was stagnant for some days. We were not cooking expensive dishes.

Well, if you focus just on the mission, it can happen. There was only the Whole Roasted Shark who was keeping it going. I had to upgrade a lot of recipes.

The camera cuts to the Sea People's Record chamber and we see someone being captured by the giant tentacle.

Dr Bancho came back after investigating the artefact and gave it to us. It was a bracelet that could give us some extra oxygen after we ran out of it. We just have two slots for these charms.

We have a new task... to retrieve a Pink Delivery Box that was lost to the sea after the sinking of a cargo ship here.

But my first mission was to get the ingredients Bancho asked me to deliver. It wasn't difficult to find the Limestone cave and in these caves, there were a lot of Jellyfish. I beat the sh*t out of them with a golf club. Sorry not sorry lol.

But I got too complacent and didn't see the danger lurking in these waters.

I didn't keep track of my low oxygen and went close to that dangerous fish. Its sister is just on the mouth of the cave and both of them got me. This means all of my items are gone except one. What a waste of a good run.

I went back, beat the heck out of those jellyfish again and didn't take much risk. I was so close to losing all my oxygen again but thankfully, there was a lucky Escape Pod that helped me.

Phew! What a close call. I beat my record of going 121m deep. Each dive is about 10 minutes long now. I have 28 kg of storage to fill and other quests to do in each dive. It never gets boring and these 10 mins feel like 5 only.
