Twitch Recap Is Here - Let's See How We Did

in Hive Gaming5 months ago (edited)

I'm always excited to see yearly recaps from different apps and sites that I use. The one I'm always the most excited for is Spotify Wrapped that appears in late November showcasing how you listened to your music the year before and also the Top 100 playlist it creates for you.

I can't remember there being a Twitch Recap for earlier years but apparently there is one now and mine just came in. Since I both stream a bit myself and watch a lot of streams I get two of them. One as a viewer and one as a creator. Let's take a quick look at both of them.

My creator recap

My streaming was really on and off throughout the whole of 2023. I streamed a little bit in March/April and then again in November. I planned on streaming regularly from then on out but I got busier than I had anticipated with other stuff so I fell off the wagon yet again. Still, 2023 wasn't half bad seeing as I was so on and off.

I hope I can find a nice and steady rhythm for both streaming and making videos for you my YouTube channel in 2024. Here's to hoping!

120 new followers is pretty decent to me. I think a lot of these came due to the OCD Live Curation streams that I did a while ago. The fact that people watched me play video games for 453 hours total is also pretty cool. I also didn't expect over 6000 messages to have been sent in my chat throughout the year. I wonder how many of those chat messages are from @demotry.

My viewer recap

My viewer recap didn't hold a lot of surprises really. I know what I watched this year and I know how much I watched it. I watched a lot of Elden Ring speedruns, tons of Diablo 4 to get those sweet drops and a shit ton of World of Warcraft during the Race to World First that I posted about a few weeks ago.

Luckily the recap didn't expose all the hot tub & pool streams I've been watching.

What i didn't expect is the fact that I actually sent as much as 410 chats throughout the year and that I watched 355 hours total of the Echo stream during the Race to World First. That's 15 days total watch time. No wonder seeing as I watched this at work, on the bus and at home for as long as both the races this year lasted.

It would be cool to see other peoples Twitch Recaps being shared in the community. I hope to see more of these in the coming days or weeks here.

I hope you can find your rhythm next year, I think the previous year there was a summary but I don't remember seeing mine, the one I like the most is the Steam one, I don't know when it will arrive and if YouTube had one it would surely be the one with the most things My use of YouTube this year was excessive hahaha but I used other platforms less.

I just looked at my summary and you're one of my top 3 channels, man. I think that's a great achievement considering how little you stream. It's sad that you didn't mention your best subscriber in this post...

😅

hopefully more of everything in 2024!

😆

Hello! Personally, I'm considering using Gyre at https://gyre.pro/ to increase my channel's income through 24/7 streaming as they claim to breathe new life into existing videos and encourage audience research. It's interesting to hear success stories or problems from those who have tried similar services.
