Winding down vibes

Flight from Charlotte Intl to Norfolk Intl.



Sitting down to chill for the evening I decide that I was going to do a flight tonight.
started at around 4pm Est for my start time start time.
This flight is about 230 nautical miles just about a 2 hour flight.





Aircraft for this flight is a Textron Aviation Beechcraft Boonanaza G36.
Using 80% fuel 32 gallons in each wing and almost at max weight being at 3,324LB/3,650LB.

This aircraft is fairly small single prop five passengers plus pilot and copilot.





Cold start first battery's and both alternator switches then turning on the avionics GPS things like that.
once that's done there is a waiting time for a few seconds.
And this is to let the systems load and start up before turning the engine on.
I do love the fact the systems, navigation, auto pilot work for the most part.
Sometimes it can be a pain to get auto pilot to get the right heading or altitude hold right.
During flight time it can be a hassle while trying to do other things in the cockpit.





With everything on the first screen showing in regarding to compass directions, speed in knots, altitude, and a smaller screen of the GPS.
The top portion has a section for radio frequency's used during the flight for air traffic hand offs and flight followings with other aircraft talking as well.
Something cool is the view with this panel you can see the runway makes for easy landings at night with lining up everything on finial approaches.
The second panel shows flight path, engine details fuel, oil pressure and a few other things.

This panel is used for auto pilot GPS and a few things I have not learned how to use yet.
There's really nothing to do this panel till getting in the air
Other then checking RPM'S and throttle power while on taxi.
And making sure the systems on the left are in functional ranges before taxi.

Now to really show this panel off now that I'm in flight.
The compass part has info from the auto pilot that is now on and set.
[HDG] Is the heading set at 095 degrees the blue icon that is the selector for this.
At the top you can see the frequency's in use right now and the altitude hold in blue on the right.
I'm pretty much going to hold this altitude for the whole flight at this time unless told otherwise by ATC.
Hold at this point is 100 knots right after my climb to 4,400ft increasing throttle to about 75%
to reach a speed of about 140 knots then continue cruise to Norfolk.

At this point in the flight I'm still cruising at 4,400 heading is at 067 degrees.
Just about an hour in the flight at this moment flight is going smoothly the sun is going down with about another hour to go.

Getting to the coast at around 7:40pm Est</sub>





Getting on final approach here ready for pattern entry switching off the auto pilot
and descending to 1,500 ft.





Runway in sight gear is down flaps are at 12 degrees preparing to land.
At this point I'm trimming the nose up and down to keep it slight level with the horizon for a smooth decent on to the runway.

I kind of hate the place it gave me to park this plane does not turn very well.

Now time to turn the engine off along with the other systems.</sub>





With the flight done the game does log all flights that you complete.
Flight started at 4pm and landed at 8pm Est the time is a little off though.
A very nice flight for the afternoon no real problems during flight other then one wind shear.
