Fun and competitive rogue deck

Since the expansion in Hearthstone everyone has been playing demon hunters and with them having the highest win-rate, there have been many people hitting legend with the demon hunter decks. However, when it comes to steady decks that can consistently compete head to head with face hunter and aggro DH.

They have good value creation from many of their cards, and stealing legendary's and spells from other classes with dragon;s hoard and clever disguise can be extremely game changing in most cases. Also the value from shadowstep + Kronx or Flik is a great remover/ game changer.

However, i recently noticed on HSreplay that Galakrond Secret Rogue has been doing pretty well. After trying it out for a while i decided to try making my own version of the deck.

Here's the rundown: The deck runs on multiple 'packages' available for rogue: secret package, quest package, galakrond package and rogue goodness package. The deck fluctuates in strategy depending on who you are playing against. If you are agasint control/priest, you'll want to deploy the quest for weapon early on so that you can galakrond into the late game and get maximal value from the hero power creating lackeys. However against aggro decks you'll want to keep the weapon the whole game, only using galakrond as an emergency to draw more, ideally using galakrond before finishing the weapon quest.

• Quest Package: Bazaar Burglary + (2x) Dragon's Hoard + (2x) Clever Disguise + (1x) Pharaoh Cat + (2x) Hench-Clan Burglar + Sky Gen'ral Kragg
• Galakrond Package: (2x) Seal Fate + (2x) Shield of Galakrond + Kronx Dragonhoof
• Rogue Goodness Package: (2x) Shadowstep + Akama + Edwin Van Cleef + Heistbaron Togwaggle + Flik Skyshiv
• Neutral Cards: Faceless Corruptor

Strategy

You'll want to mulligan for Pharaoh cat, dragon's hoard or clever disguise to get quick quest triggers. If you get a secret + hanar in your opening hand coin hanar on turn 1 into secret turn 2 for some quick quest trigger as well and early game value.

Keep your Shadowstep for Flik or Kronx. Get maximum value from quest weapon, to be used mostly for clearing board for free without taking face damage. Use invoke galakrond cards to create lackeys for the heist-baron toggwaggle value pack as well. Always pick wand treasure to draw more, unless you have full hand then get the summon 2 legendary cards. It's not necesary to get 4 invokes before using galakrond, this package is in the deck purely for kronx late-game value and lackey creation for faceless corruptor fodder/ toggwaggle trigger.

Against Mage save Flik for their 8 mana summon 2 of the same minion spell. Against priest save shadowstep for similar value kills for after they mass res. If you get quest complete early from clever disguise use weapon for face damage.

Faceless Corruptor and Sky Genral Kragg are for removal and defense against aggro decks. Get max trade value and shadowstep corruptor if necessary.

Get Max value from Stunner by using it on 9 cost cards or for controlling key aggro cards. This is such a valuable card in the meta now as it functions as frost trap+ sap in one. This deck has 4 secrets, but u could always replace Akama with a second dirty tricks for 5.

If you get Hanar to live past the first turn you play her, it's very easy to snowball out of value control for the win. Just keep picking the most value adding cards like counter-spell, pressure trap, noble sacrifice, ambush, etc. Alot of the time what cards you get from the secret creation and clever disguise/dragons hoard will determine whether or not you win. I've been lucky enough to sometimes get amazing value from clever disguise, but this RNG factor is what makes this deck inconsistent and therefore more for fun than for competitive play. However a lot of the cards here are extremely good and therefore makes this deck a fun and fairly competitive deck.

I hope you try my deck out as it was super fun making and playing it! I'm still thinking of what to do about Akama, as he is the only card that doesn't quite fit in to the other packages. I might make a different deck with stealth package as well. We'll see! Anyways good luck have fun in ladder!
