My Manager Career Continues

Today on my break from work, I continued with my manager career soccer manager 26. Previously I spoke about the update from the game. The Invincible studio behind the development of the game, does the same thing as any other soccer game company does. They provide updates.

Today is the day I played the game for the second time after playing the first time on its launch. The user interface and gaming experience are a lot better but like all modern games, ads are always an issue.

I claimed my daily reward for logging in to play the game, a 50 gold token of the game. Then next up was a player upgrade and boost for Gusto, and a couple of others.

Next up was the fixture which was quite ironic or more of a coincidence. It is a fixture against Nottingham Forest and that's the team my club Chelsea will be playing against after the international break in the real-life Premier League. The only difference between the game and the Premier League fixture is that Nottingham Forest are home while in real life Chelsea will be playing against them at their home in life Premier League.

I made a quick setup and setting with my players by giving them simple instructions: control the midfield and create chances. This will make it easy for me to see where the issue might be and coupled with Cole Palmer, and Enzo Fernandez being out due to injury. I had to replace Cole Palmer with Madueke.

As my instructions played out so did it work out in the game. We had control of the center while the wingers created chances on both ends. The first goal came in from Nkunku with a heavy shot right outside the box 18. Something more like what Moses Caicedo scored against Liverpool over the weekend.

Next up was the second goal from Madueke after a wonderful play with the wingers making a clear assist to Madueke, then he scored the goal. He was most excited because this is his first goal playing for the club under my coaching. With his brilliant performance in this match, he will be getting more playing time on the team.

After the second half break, it became a goalless drought in the second half. Not a single goal. We were two goals up and it made sense for me to go all in on the defense to secure my victory.

After the game, I got an offer for my wing ack Cucurella from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester United were the ones with the highest bid of $34.5m but I am not selling. He is an influential part of the team.

It wasn't a long break but a recreational one. What a way to get the blood flowing. I will try experimenting with my team on something new I could do. The Manager's career continues....
