Tutorial Complete - BloodHunt

Welcome to the blog of @southgamer, where I talk about games and anything gaming-related. Yesterday, I wrote about the new game Bloodhunt, which I downloaded for free from the PlayStation Store. But I could not talk a lot about the tutorial since I didn't get to play much of the game. But today I got to play the tutorial.

After getting from work, it was time to play a little bit before a good night's sleep. When you open the game, you get asked first if you want to partake in the tutorial first or you would like to play a live game; you probably already know how to play. For me, as a newbie in the game, the tutorial route happens to be the best option.

First off, you get dropped down from the top, I guess you fell off a building or some place high. I take it you are a newly converted vampire who needs to gain the survival skills a vampire needs. As the tutorial starts, you begin to regenerate.

Next, you come across a human filled with blood for the taken. The key to press is given on the screen and once you click on it and hold, you can suck so blood out of the human. But you don't drain the human, just take enough for you to recharge. Killing a human a against the rules of the game; if you do so, the city gets alerted, and humans begin to run away from you, thus causing your life to reduce and possibly fail.

The other stop is picking up a weapon, and that is quite easy, simply click on the box button when close to the item. When you pick a weapon, you know that launching an attack on someone or something is close by. I picked you a metal stick and next I had to attack a vampire. The game revolves around vampires attacking vampires and vampires feeding on humans, so it is not surprising that my first tutorial attack happens to be a vampire and my first feed, a human being.

After the new technique has been learned, I move on to pick up a better weapon, a rifle with loaded bullets, and I learned how to aim using R2 and how to fire using L1. With this, I got to test my new skill on a vampire by launching a couple of bullets at the vampire. It felt cool as the pad vibrated on my hand as I pressed fire.

Then, it was long, I had to feed off some humans again to regain strength, but what was more exciting was climbing and jumping over buildings. It happens fast, and the pace of doing it feels like a superpower for my vampire character.

So far, I can say I have gotten a hold of Bloodhunt, and I can only get better from onward. Next up, I will be playing a live game, probably with other players or more missions. I do not know yet what the game has installed, but let's see how things evolve.
