[Straw Plays] Still Wakes the Deep - Part One (We HIT Something!!!)

Today we play another horror game and it's very different. Still Wakes the Deep is a horror game from the same developers that brought us Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. I didn't play that one to be honest but I remember people talking about it being scary. So here we are.

In this game we are working on an oil rig in the North Sea. There's a lot of Scottish accents and the graphics are amazing. What more could you want honestly.

Before we know it something goes horribly wrong with the rig and we are put in a crazy situation. Trying to figure out what went wrong and who else survived. I didn't expect the game to be that scary considering how it starts but the tension is through the roof after a short while. I haven't played a game like this for a while and it's actually quite interesting so far.

I still have no idea what is happening on this oil rig but it's twisted and I can't wait to see more of it.

I will definitely continue with this game for now since it got me hooked after this first hour. Let's see where it takes us. See you next time!

I'm not really into horror.. but reading it, you really enjoyed the game.😊

It's not for everyone but this game is really nice if you like horror :D

Awesome to see you posting again!

Thanks! Feels great to be back at it again.

This game combines two things that I would hate to go through in real life, sailing the high seas without a means of communication with anyone on land. And in the worst case scenario, something happens and the power goes out and we have to sort it out.

Haha yeah. I used to work on a cargo ship for a while and the North Sea especially can be brutal. I would hate to be stuck there. Stay tuned for the next episode because exactly that happens haha.(spoiler alert)

I was a big fan of Amnesia, mostly due to the weapons-free nature of it. This seems to really capture that same spirit in a new (and great looking!) environment. Somewhat reminds me of Alien Isolation as well with the hiding and sneaking through vents. Added to my wishlist to pick up when it's on sale!

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't play Amnesia but I also got kind of an Alien Isolation vibe from this game and I liked that game a lot. You should definitely try it out if you get a chance.
