Many years ago I had played this title, I understand that currently has a sequel but I have not given time, so we'd better talk about his first installment, I remember that I always used to play in times that had nothing to do for not having internet, it was really fun and you could kill time very easily, if you did not realize you had already played more than several hours. When I played it I think it was only for PC, but apparently Retro City Rampage didn't want to keep those and ended up coming out on a variety of consoles and even for cell phones. Originally this game was going to be an attempt to remake the GTA III but it ended up becoming something totally new.
Hace muchos años habÃa jugado este tÃtulo, tengo entendido que actualmente cuenta con una secuela pero no le he dado tiempo, asà que mejor vamos a hablar de su primera entrega, me recuerdo que siempre solÃa jugarle en los tiempos que no tenÃa nada que hacer por no tener internet, de verdad era muy divertido y podÃas matar el tiempo de forma muy fácil, si no te dabas cuenta ya habÃas jugado más de varias horas. Cuando lo jugué creo que solo se encontraba para PC, pero al parecer Retro City Rampage no quiso quedarse con esas y terminó saliendo en una gran variedad de consolas e incluso para teléfonos móviles. Originalmente este juego iba a ser un intento de remake del GTA III pero terminó convirtiéndose en algo totalmente nuevo.
Retro City Rampage shares playability and kinship with open world titles like the previously mentioned GTA but this time with an arsenal of references that will make the most nostalgic get excited. We will have missions that are very similar to things like Ghostbusters, Paperboy and Zelda, where obviously we will hunt ghosts in a van, obviously in the other we will deliver newspapers on a bike and obviously in the one that remains we will be given a sword and shield to kill monsters. We will also have references of many characters from the 80's and 90's, among them we will be able to find the famous Robocop, the crazy professor who will help us go back to the past, the Doc, we cannot forget the well known Ninja Turtles, Frogger, Metal Gear and others.
Retro City Rampage comparte jugabilidad y parentesco con tÃtulos de mundo abierto como el anteriormente mencionado GTA pero esta vez contando con un arsenal de referencias que hará emocionarse a los más nostálgicos. Tendremos misiones que se asemejan muchÃsimo a cosas como Los Cazafantasmas, Paperboy y Zelda, donde obviamente cazaremos fantasmas en una van, obviamente en la otra entregaremos periódicos en una bicicleta y obviamente en la que queda nos darán una espada y un escudo para matar monstruos. También tendremos referencias de muchos personajes de los 80' y 90', entre ellos podremos encontrar al famoso Robocop, al loco profesor que nos ayudará a regresar al pasado, el Doc, tampoco podemos olvidar a las reconocidas Tortugas Ninjas, Frogger, Metal Gear y demás.
If you don't understand or capture all the winks that the game has in store for you, either because you're too young or have never seen an old movie, don't worry, Retro City Rampage is a highly enjoyable and fun title, it doesn't just rely on references. During your adventure you will have to face tons of enemies, with a great variety of weapons, we will also star in chases and races in the purest style of Need for Speed or Fast and Furious, thus having a remarkable diversity of cars, without forgetting that in the same way we will have ingenious levels of stealth or underwater, things too entertaining.
Si no entiendes o captas todos los guiños que el juego tiene preparado para ti, ya sea porque seas muy joven o nunca hayas visto una pelÃcula vieja, no te preocupes, Retro City Rampage es un tÃtulo sumamente disfrutable y divertido, no se vale solamente de referencias. Durante tu aventura tendrás que enfrentarte a montones de enemigos, con una gran variedad de armas, también protagonizaremos persecuciones y carreras al más puro estilo de Need for Speed o Rápido y Furioso, habiendo asà uno diversidad de carros notable, sin olvidar que de la misma manera tendremos niveles ingeniosos de sigilo o debajo del agua, cosas demasiado entretenidas.
The argument and the plot of the game is something totally cumbersome but it is made this way on purpose mixing and taking life of all the possible eighty resources. We will be a time traveler, we will be stuck in the 21st century or better said in the future, we come from the 80's, our objective will be to collect the necessary parts to repair our car that allows us to travel in time, all this with the help of a mad scientist that has a certain resemblance to the Back to the Future Doc. Don't try to follow or take seriously the game's plot, the dialogs don't make sense deliberately referring to the lousy dialogs that video games had in those distant times, as a parody it is very well implemented but after so much confusing text you end up getting tired and don't know what you are reading.
El argumento y la trama del juego es algo totalmente engorroso pero está hecho asà a propósito mezclando y tomando vida de todos los recursos ochenteros posibles. Nosotros seremos un viajero en el tiempo, nos quedaremos atrapados en el siglo XXI o mejor dicho en el futuro, nosotros venimos de los años 80, nuestro objetivo será el de recolectar las piezas necesarias para reparar nuestro carro que nos permite viajar en el tiempo, todo esto contando con la ayuda de un cientÃfico loco que tiene cierto parecido al Doc de Volver al Futuro. No intentes seguir o tomarte en serio la trama del juego, los diálogos no tienen sentido deliberadamente haciendo referencia a los pésimos diálogos que tenÃan los videojuegos en aquéllas lejanas épocas, como parodia está muy bien implementado pero luego de tanto texto confuso te terminas cansando y no sabes qué estás leyendo.
Aesthetically we will have a title that uses in a masterful way the pixel art, based on the classic and mythical 8 bits remembering the archaic games of the NES, that yes it is necessary to bear in mind that at present more than one can seem very simple because they cannot appreciate details preferring better graphics, though if you love the retro you are going to love the visuals of this game. The music is also in 8 bits, is catchy and perhaps more than one is recorded in your memory and you can not stop humming. In the 3DS version it was not possible to add the characteristic 3D effect as it would involve a large amount of work.
Estéticamente tendremos un tÃtulo que usa de forma magistral el pixel art, basándose en los clásicos y mÃticos 8 bits recordando a los archiconocidos juegos de la NES, eso sà hay que tener en cuenta que en la actualidad a más de uno le pueda parecer muy simplón porque no pueden apreciar detalles prefiriendo unos mejores gráficos, aunque si amas lo retro te va a encantar los visuales de este juego. La música se encuentra también en 8 bits, es pegadiza y quizás más de una se quede grabada en tu memoria y no puedas parar de tararearla. En la versión de 3DS no se le pudo añadir el caracterÃstico efecto 3D ya que supondrÃa una extensa cantidad de trabajo.
In conclusion, Retro City Rampage is pure fun. Ideal to kill time when you are very very bored. If you are a lover of the retro, movies and games eighty will love this title even more. The great amount of 60 missions and 7 hours of durability gives us for a lot of entertainment, perhaps you can stay so hooked that you spend it in one sitting. The bad stuff may be found in the younger audience, who may not understand any reference and with the cumbersome dialogue may not understand anything that is happening on screen but still it is very enjoyable considering that we have that free mode like in the GTA where we can make a mess all over the city if we want, run away from the police and so on, you know what I mean. If you're too bored, play it.
En conclusión, Retro City Rampage es diversión pura y dura. Ideal para matar el tiempo cuando te encuentres muy muy aburrido. Si eres amante de lo retro, pelÃculas y juegos ochenteros amarás este tÃtulo aún más. La gran cantidad de 60 misiones y 7 horas de durabilidad nos da para mucho entretenimiento, quizás puede que te quedes tan enganchado que te lo pases de una sola sentada. Lo malo puede que se encuentre en el público más joven, quiénes pueden que no entiendan ninguna referencia y con lo engorroso de los diálogos quizás no entiendan nada de lo que está sucediendo en pantalla pero aún asà es muy ameno teniendo en cuenta que tenemos ese modo libre como en el GTA donde podremos hacer desastre por toda la ciudad si queremos, huir de la policÃa y demás, ya saben de lo que hablo. Si estás muy aburrido, juegalo.
