I'm nowhere near as active on the blogging end of Hive as I'd like anymore, but I still play Hive games every day. After being a part of this community for over 6 years, I've seen a lot of games come and go. Very few of them have lasted for longer than a couple of months, and it would be quite a challenge for another to ever see the success a game like Splinterlands has.
This morning I decided to do something I haven't in a while: search the blockchain for new projects & games to play. That's when I stumbled across something I think has the potential to reach heights not seen by a Hive game since the inception of the reigning champion.

Holozing was announced back in October, and is touted as "A roleplaying adventure game for both casual and competitive players". There are a few good reasons why I think Holozing has the potential to be Hive's next big thing, the first of which being:
The Concept
Pokémon Red resides within a very special place in my heart, so to see someone developing a "monster trainer" game for Hive is very exciting. I've said for years that a game like Pokémon would be perfect as a blockchain game.
I was pretty active in Splinterlands for the first couple of years, and I can see myself dumping a TON of time and resources into Holozing when it's released.
I'm also in love with the artwork, and the creatures announced so far are all incredibly cute and whimsical.
My next reason for thinking this game will take off might be obvious to many, but might not be to someone who hasn't been around for long, as that is:
The Team
I was excited about this game BEFORE I got to the bottom of the Holozing Homepage and realized it's being headed by some absolute fuckin' OGs. Knowing that @acidyo and @rishi556 are on the job makes me incredibly confident that it won't be another of these projects that gets hyped to oblivion and then crashes and burns a month after launch.

Hey glad to hear you found out about the game and to have you onboard! It's definitely something that's taken most of my focus the past half a year and something I've worked on in the back of my head and notepads for years prior, glad to finally get it started and to see how it will go! If it gets anywhere close to the way I'm picturing it it's getting me quite excited which helps motivate me even more :D
Can't wait to see everything come together and get my first Holo!
