It took us 8 years to wait for one of the best games ever. Cyberpunk 2077 is such an unusual game and yet many people want to play it and are playing it. I invite you to a review of the best RPG game ever.

In this review I deliberately leave out the complications that arose during the development process of the project itself. I'm not the type of player who will point out every mistake, comment on the situation on the stock market or catch their tongue. I evaluate what I play, so I will devote my material to this element.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a title that needs no introduction. The gaming adaptation of Mike Pondsmith's universe of the same name presents a dystopian future world ruled by large corporations, superhuman abilities in the form of cyber grafts, and violence. A trip to such a world is an incredible experience for the player, especially an RPG fan.

We take on the role of a mercenary named V. Before the game starts, we can choose our past. We can play as a corporeal, a desert traveler or a punk from the street. I don't have to mention about setting some elements in our body ;). Our task is to carry out orders from fixers (middlemen) and not to get killed...yet. The main goal is to steal a special biochip from one of the corporations, Arasaki. The situation becomes more dynamic as unexpected things happen, which we will have to fight with for the rest of the game.

I'm not going into the plot on purpose, because I want to tell you about another experience that affected me during many hours of sessions with Cyberpunk 2077. Namely, about the world that surrounds us. It's simply magnificent. Futuristic skyscrapers, multi-level streets, bustling (less than on trailers) streets and random situations happening around us. These are the things I fell in love with this game for.

Admittedly, some PC users and probably most console players experienced a lot of bugs and heart-wrenching glitches during the game. Luckily for me, these hardly ever happened. Just once my car flew into the air and that was it. My friends are still jealous.

The city is presented in a wide variety of colours and styles. Here we are presented with districts differing in buildings, cars and clans. This adds depth and immersion as you drive through another part of Night City, a city of dreams and corporate battles.
I was immediately captivated by the skyscrapers and neon streets where we can explore different buildings or purchase a service to have fun.

As for the audio setting itself, the only thing I missed was a more diverse radio. Unfortunately, driving through the wilderness or on the highway, I didn't feel like I was in some GTA V driving against the flow and listening to summer hits. On the other hand, the dubbing (both Polish and English) is refined, full of emotion and pleasant to the ear. Chapeau bas!

Why do I consider this game to be the best RPG product?

  • Playing the game for the third, fourth, fifth time doesn't get boring (really, many paths, lots of options...and those dialogues).
  • The audiovisual setting encourages to stop for a moment and admire the sights of Night City.
  • The functions and possibilities of expanding our character's class are huge. We can easily be a universal soldier. It is much better when we decide to be a perfect hacker or a deadly street fighter.
  • The plot, maybe not as long as The Witcher 3 with addons or Skyrim, but very satisfying.

What is your opinion on the latest CD Projekt RED's product? I'd love to hear your opinion.
