Otto's Berlin Döner In Toronto's Waterworks Food Hall

Hi there. Here is a food blog post from me. I revisit Otto's Berlin Döner in downtown Toronto. There are two locations but I visit the newer location at Toronto's Waterworks Food Hall.

About Otto's Berlin Döner

Otto's Berlin Döner offers sandwiches, Currywurst (Fries with a Bratwurst sausage) and Döner Tellers.

Waterworks Food Hall In Toronto

Waterworks Food Hall where Otto's Berlin Döner is located is a fairly modern looking food hall. The fast food joints are in the middle with seating by the walls and at some of the fast food joints themselves. There is also a room for meetings and coffee.

Their Small Döner Teller

Knowing that there is a lunch hour rush at around 12PM, I went at around 12:45 PM to avoid lineups. I went with their small Döner Teller with Veal and Lamb for 14.95 CAD. The choice of sides were Fries, House Salad or Couscous. If you chose Couscous then you had to pay an extra 1.50 CAD.

Sauce choices were Garlic Sauce, Yoghurt, Hot Sauce or for an extra 50 cents Vegan Garlic Aioli. I went with just Garlic Sauce.

The cost for this lunch was getting close to 20 CAD. It is kind of pricey in the Toronto area. (Cost of living in Canada in general is getting a bit out of hand as of late.)

You do have to mix in the salad, fries, sauce veal and lamb together. The crunchy fries goes well with the salad, sauce and the meat. The veal and lamb chunks were somewhat hard on the outside but still chewy. It is not the best thing out there but it is pretty good comfort food. The small Döner Teller was just enough for lunch. Hungrier people would want a large size.
