Small Space, Big Harvest, Anti Stress...

in HiveGarden24 days ago

Good day to everyone! I started germinating the seeds of Squash, Bitter Melon, Chili, and Cherry Tomato a few days ago. However, only the Bitter Melon and Squash have begun to sprout for now. I've been preparing my small garden for the seeds for more than ten days now, and I still haven't finished because of other obligations that I need to prioritize.

In the past few days, while waiting for the seeds to sprout, I’ve collected dried leaves to mix with the soil I'll use for planting. I also gathered some discarded vegetable peels from the supermarket to chop up and use as a natural fertilizer for the soil.

In the transparent plastic cover, I've planted cherry tomato seeds. I didn’t plant them too deep, but they’re taking a long time to sprout. Maybe I need to place them outside so they can get some sunlight.

As for this white plastic cover on the plastic garden pot, this is where I planted the squash and bitter melon seeds, and they were the first to sprout, just five days later.

For someone like me, gardening is a great way to relieve stress and fatigue. It’s also enjoyable to share what’s happening with my plants. That’s why I love reading other people's blogs about gardening, and I’m always excited to see other people’s gardens or vegetable gardens, especially when they have limited space for planting.

Maybe by next week, I can transplant these sprouts if they’ve reached the right stage and if their new spots are ready to use. For now, I’m still preparing everything. I’m also waiting for the sweet potatoes and potatoes I planted to start sprouting.

For now, I’ve prepared dried grass and leaves to cover the plants once they’re transplanted. This will help keep the soil moist, reducing the need for daily watering.

vaccum methods is one of the best way to propagate seeds plants. Sprouts will grows fast when it applies this kind of methods. A seedling trays covered with plastic bags.

By the, I am thankful for sharing this wonderful ideas about Germination.

Is that a technique that involves using a vacuum to create a controlled environment for better germination of seeds? I think that method is often used in research and commercial plant production to improve seed germination rates. Especially for seeds that have hard coats or are difficult to germinate. Am I right?

Yes exactly, seeds can produced young sprouts fast if it is in Vacuum, thats what we always do here. ☺️

Now I see! I don't usually do this, just now because I really need moist for free water. =)

Vacuuming helps the soil always moist, the moisture of water will went to the soil. ☺️

Oh very nice, we plan on starting our veggie and fruit seeds early 2025.
