Can you use the bottle gourd for a meal? or only for a container when it is old?
I have tried the paper tower as well in the past to germinate my chili seed.
I really needed to work on my garden when I had time to go home. :)

Of course buddy, we do use bottle gourd for meals. I disliked this vegetable in my childhood but now I enjoy it.😋
Paper towel method is really easy and fast. Try one more time the way I tell you. take a sandwich bread size paper, place 4-6 seeds in at least one inches of gap, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of water, seal it air tight, and at last place it where there is almost no light.
After 4-5 days you will see that the seeds have germinated.😊👍
