Hello everyone
How are you today ? are you all right? I pray and hope that all of us, especially all members of the HiveGarden Community, will always be given health and happiness in living this life. Today is Monday, many people hate Monday, so Monday is often replaced with the term "Monsterday", maybe that's our hatred because Monday is the beginning of a weekday which will be tiring days. However, we must be enthusiastic and must not give up, let's imagine every day is a weekend for us.

On Monday, that's when I return to HiveGarden Community, to summarize the activities I do in my hydroponic garden or the development of the condition of the vegetables in my hydroponic garden. This week, I wasn't very active in my hydroponic garden because for three days (Friday to Sunday), I was in Rantau Prapat City with my family for a family event. However, I still carry out various activities in the garden, such as supervising and sowing seeds. I also harvest some of the vegetables and plants in my hydroponic garden. So, let's just start my weekly hydroponic journal this time.

The Condition and Development of Pakchoy in My Hydroponic Garden
All members of the HiveGarden Community, must have known that pakchoy is one of my favorite vegetables that I always grow in my hydroponic garden. These vegetables are easy to grow, and also do not need intense care and include vegetables that are easy to care for and grow. I have several pakchoys of different growing ages in my hydroponic garden, and each group of pakchoys has its own set of problems.

The photos above are pakchoy with 17 days after seeding, and this week there was a problem with this pakchoy. Some pakchoy grow very fertile and well, but some pakchoy in other growing media stunted growth and do not develop well. My analysis, because this week I did not mix fertilizer and water solutions in hydroponic media properly.

I'm using system wijk (or system axis) for this pakchoy. I use Styrofoam as the planting medium for this wijk system. This hydroponic system is cheaper and suitable for beginners. However, this hydroponic system makes the fertilizer solution water in the hydroponic installation not mixed evenly, compared to the circulation system using a pump. The solution, we have to help by stirring the solution in the Styrofoam media by hand once every three days so that the concentration of the ppm solution in the hydroponic media is in accordance with the standards we make.

In addition, I also have pakchoy with 24 days after sowing. The majority of these Pakchoy grow well and optimally, I use hydroponic fertilizer with a concentration of 1000-1200 ppm this week. However, there are two problems with this packhoy. First, I still see traces of the rat attack on this pakcchoy, and it looks like it can't be saved anymore. Second, I also saw that there are two hydroponic media that have pakchoy conditions that experience color changes and stunted growth. This condition can occur because of the problem I described above. In addition, a lack of fertilizer can also cause vegetables to change color.

This week, I also transferred about 140 pakchoy to my hydroponic media. This pakchoy is about 10 days old and I give hydroponic liquid fertilizer with a concentration of 1000-1100 ppm, I hope this pakchoy will grow optimally without significant problems in the future.

Conditions and Development of Lettuce in My Hydroponic Garden
If pakchoy is having a lot of problems, the lettuce that I grow in my hydroponic media grows very well and optimally. You can also see it for yourself in these photos. I have 150 holes for planting lettuce in hydroponic media with the age of 24 days after sowing. I still use a liquid fertilizer solution with a concentration of 700-800 ppm for the lettuce that I grow.

Lettuce is a vegetable that is widely used as a garnish in various dishes or dishes. The green lettuce leaves and the curly texture of the lettuce make it perfect for adding to any dish. In addition, in Indonesia lettuce is also used as fresh vegetables which are always served in all dishes. Moreover, if the lettuce is eaten with chili sauce, it is certainly more delicious.

Preparation of Vegetable Seedlings

In my hydroponic garden, many hydroponic media are empty and there are no vegetables, maybe about 20% of the total number of holes I have in my hydroponic garden. Therefore, I did a vegetable nursery to fill my empty hydroponic media. I sowed some vegetable seeds such as kangkong, lettuce and pakchoy. My plan, I will move all these seeds next week.

Bitter Mustard in Vertical Hydroponic Installation
The bitter mustard that I planted in this vertical hydroponic installation will soon be harvested. All the vegetables have grown very well, although the duration of planting is longer than other hydroponic media. That's because, limited sunlight and make the growth of vegetables so a little late.

This bitter mustard is not sold, I grow it for myself and my family to consume. My mom and dad really like this vegetable. These vegetables will usually be boiled with a little salt, or sauteed with a lot of garlic. This vegetable also has many benefits and is rich in antioxidants that are needed for our bodies.

Mint Leaf Condition in Pipe Hydroponic Installation
This week, I harvested a lot of mint leaves for my customers. I harvest about 500 grams of mint leaves, and I repackage them in 20 gram packs. Many people need mint leaves, especially restaurants, cafes or coffee shops. Mint leaves are used to make drinks or as a garnish to beautify the drinks that will be served to customers.

Mint leaves are plants that are very suitable for hydroponic systems. We can harvest mint leaves without having to replant them. This plant does grow very quickly if it gets enough sunlight, and also the nutritional needs of the plant are met properly.

Okay, here's my garden journal this week. See you next week friends.
