Last week, I showed you how I sowed water spinach from tiny seeds to small sprouts that I placed in a seed tray. The tray also contained dacron, or cotton, to absorb water.
Five days have passed, and it's time to review what I prepared yesterday. Although doing so makes my back hurt, because I spend all day focusing on positioning them so they don't pile up on one side. You know, doing that is the most tedious part of my life. I think every gardener knows that preparing vegetables or plants for planting in a growing medium is a pain if you're not passionate about it.

Can you imagine what I do almost every month to stock up on all my hydroponic vegetables :D ? Luckily, it's just a sore back, nothing more.
So, afterward, I saw that almost all of yesterday's seedlings were growing well. I also sorted out the seedlings that looked suspicious for thiolation or poor quality. I did this myself to determine the failure rate.
After that, I started putting it in the hydroponic box here. Right inside the netpot and the AB mix water I used yesterday. But first, I checked the ppm level of the fertilizer, only adding a little water because it was originally intended for celery. So, all I had to do was add the water that would be dissolved in the AB mix.

To save water and fertilizer, you don't have to throw away the water. If moss forms, just filter it with a water filter. I usually do this in two batches. So I can use it continuously. After three batches, the water usually dries up, so I throw it all away. I also use it to water plants with thick stems like the mango and guava trees at home.
So... it's time to wait for the water spinach to grow for the next 15 days. Ready to harvest and ready to eat!
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
There are many things I tell on my Blog, I hope you like it. Never hesitate to leave a comment, because your comments mean so much to keep me moving forward.
My english so bad, but I try to be better. I hope we can be friends without thinking about our backgrounds. Let's keep this community better and better known by the wider community.
Thanks for read, vote, re-blog and support me in Hive. Maybe god will reward the kindness, let’s success together.
Your hydroponic way of planting always amazes me. Imagine growing plants without using soil! Those water spinach really enjoy the water and the PH balance. I usually plant water spinach using stem cuttings and I want to try this way - using seeds. Have you tried stem cuttings? Which way do they grow better? I noticed your variety has smaller leaves; mine have bigger ones.
And to that sore back? It will just go away as you harvest, lol enjoy!
Hydroponics technique is simple as you have water and ab mix fertilizer. it's not as hard as you think🤣
It's just my mind saying it's hard, lol
I should've tried it long ago so it won't be difficult now. I'vr been used to planting with soil. Do I need a gadget for checking the PH balance of water?
Oh, glad to see you there. I also love planting.
thank you..😆

STOPOnly rare people practice hydrophonics..I appreciate you for taking the courage to this complex activity ...that's nice to see spinach seeds were started to sprout and growing
