RE: Welcoming a newbie to the family

Hi Andy,
This is awesome!
It will be interesting to see how that pineapple grows.
I'm not so surprised about the onion though. I found an onion that sprouted underneath my kitchen cupboard by complete accident. I could have probably put it in some soil and tried to grow it, but I got busy and never got around to doing it.
My herbs were doing well, until some weed found it's way to one of the pots and I lost my rocket without even harvesting any.☹️
Good luck with all of them and strawberries are always a treat. If the pineapple does well, maybe I'll try to plant one next time I go back to Jamaica:)))

Hi Milly

How you doing?

Pineapple plants are really interesting and look kinda alien, I am hoping I can keep it alive to see it put out fruit. I'm sure that pineapples grow really well in Jamaica, it's quite tropical there isn't it? My geography is pathetic 🤣

Oh that little rascal run away onion! Very naughty hiding like that. I also forget things and then the next time I look, all the onions and potatoes are full of shoots and I feel too guilty to chop them up any of them.

I'm so sorry to read about your rocket, that sucks. Try, try and try again. I had a lot of success in England growing Thyme and Oregano on the window ledge, they are hardier than rocket, so much longer lasting.

Hope you are keeping well. 🌼

I'm doing well. Been busy with a few appointments lately and have been navigating my way on foot through unknown routes to fetch the bus, it feels strange but it's good for me... Another early morning out tomorrow, but at least I know exactly where I'm going now.

Jamaica is as tropical and humid as it gets, but some parishes are known for particular fruits and pineapple is not popular in my parish. I first saw pineapples growing on trees by the sea in the Philippines and they were so attractive.

Yeah, my rockets were doing so well then they turn red and were taken over with weed, so I will get more seeds. My thyme is still slow but the oregano survived winter and is still going strong.

I hope you're doing well too:)... and maybe you'll get to have some peas an berries long before your pineapple plant develops 💐
