I'm reminded of one of our Botanic Gardens in the hills which was partially damaged by bushfire in the 80s. Every time we visit is a new experience as it changes with the seasons. I can see how it would give you inspiration.

I'm also reminded I really should start looking into irrigation systems for our gardens.
