Mi árbol de Parchitas (Maracuyá) // My Parchitas Tree (Passion Fruit)

Hola amigos de hive, que placer saludarles, en especial a toda la comunidad de jardineros. Hoy quiero escribirles sobre mi árbol de Parchitas también conocidas como maracuyá, una fruta que en lo personal es de mis favoritas, porque tiene diversos usos y el sabor de un jugo de Parchita es lo más rico del mundo😄

Quiero comenzar aclarando que en mi país Venezuela, está fruta es conocida como Parchita, así que sería muy raro escuchar a un venezolano decir maracuyá. Sin embargo el término maracuyá es el más conocido mundialmente. Está fruta es exquisita, además de su rico sabor tiene muchas vitaminas como la A y la C y minerales como el potasio. Además es conocida por prevenir enfermedades degenerativas y cardiovasculares. La maracuyá también se le conoce como "la fruta de la pasión" ya que según tiene propiedades afrodisíacas 👀😳

Este árbol de Parchitas fue un regalo que nos dió un amigo de mi papá. Era una plantita muy pequeña pero nos recomendó sembrarla en un sitio donde la planta pudiera enredarse, ya que ella crece de manera diferente, se expande muy rápido y necesita un soporte ya que su tronco es muy débil. Así que decidimos sembrarla cerca de una reja para que ella pudiera enredarse sin ningún problema. Empezó a crecer muy rápido y pasadas unas semanas echó sus primeras flores, las cuales después se convertirían en Parchitas. Yo estaba encantado con todo ese proceso, día a día iba a verla y contemplar su crecimiento. Con el paso de los dias las Parchitas de tornaron de color amarillo y ahí supimos que ya estaban listas. Hicimos un jugo con la cosecha recogida y el sabor era muy delicioso. Siempre me ha parecido curioso las forma de está fruta, es un cascarón y por dentro pequeñas burbujitas con semillas.

Después de esa primera cosecha, lastimosamente la planta se empezó a secar y en sus hojas empezaron a aparecer pequeños gusanos negros y muchas hormigas. Nos dimos cuenta que la planta estaba infectada y decidimos comprar unos productos que nos ayudaran a eliminar los insectos que se estaban comiendo la planta. Gracias a Dios estos productos hicieron efecto y la planta volvió a tener vida. Actualmente ha crecido muchísimo y está llena de flores y pequeñas Parchitas. Pude contar alrededor de 23 frutos que pronto estarán listos para comer.

Mi mamá hace un jugo delicioso que mezcla el mango con la Parchita. Se pone a hervir todo y una vez cocinado se licúa. El resultado es un jugo delicioso que servirá para refrescarte o acompañarlo con alguna comida. De verdad que me encanta ese jugo, aunque ya la temporada de mangos en Venezuela terminó. La Parchita también me recuerda mi etapa universitaria ya que casi todos los días desayunaba empanadas con jugo de Parchita en uno de los restaurantes de la facultad.

Quiero recomendarles a todos los que tengan un espacio en sus hogares que siembren está planta, es fácil de cosechar y podrán hacer cosas exquisitas con la maracuyá. Today I want to write about my Parchita tree also known as passion fruit, a fruit that personally is one of my favorites, because it has many uses and the taste of a Parchita juice is the best in the world😄.

I want to start by clarifying that in my country Venezuela, this fruit is known as Parchita, so it would be very strange to hear a Venezuelan say passion fruit. However, the term passion fruit is the most known worldwide. This fruit is exquisite, besides its rich flavor it has many vitamins such as A and C and minerals such as potassium. It is also known to prevent degenerative and cardiovascular diseases. Passion fruit is also known as "passion fruit" because it has aphrodisiac properties 👀😳.

This Parchitas tree was a gift given to us by a friend of my dad. It was a very small seedling but he recommended us to plant it in a place where the plant could get tangled, since it grows differently, expands very fast and needs a support since its trunk is very weak. So we decided to plant it near a fence so that it could get tangled without any problem. She started to grow very fast and after a few weeks she put out her first flowers, which later became Parchitas. I was delighted with the whole process, day after day I went to see her and contemplate her growth. As the days went by, the Parchitas turned yellow and we knew they were ready. We made a juice with the harvested crop and the taste was very delicious. I have always been curious about the shape of this fruit, it is a shell and inside small bubbles with seeds.

After that first harvest, unfortunately the plant began to dry out and small black worms and many ants began to appear on the leaves. We realized that the plant was infected and decided to buy some products to help us eliminate the insects that were eating the plant. Thank God these products worked and the plant came back to life. Now it has grown a lot and is full of flowers and small Parchitas. I was able to count about 23 fruits that will soon be ready to eat.

My mother makes a delicious juice that mixes the mango with the Parchita. Everything is boiled and once it is cooked, it is blended. The result is a delicious juice that can be used as a refreshing drink or to accompany a meal. I really love this juice, even though the mango season in Venezuela is over. Parchita also reminds me of my university days, since almost every day I had empanadas with Parchita juice for breakfast in one of the faculty restaurants.

I want to recommend to all those who have a space in their homes to plant this plant, it is easy to harvest and you can make delicious things with passion fruit.
