News from my garden

in HiveGarden2 years ago

Hello everyone, I would like to share my growing crop in my garden.
As you can see in the photo, the cabbage is blissful! For her, cold nights, abundant dew and regular rains are the perfect summer option. Late varieties increase their leaf power, kohlrabi forms a stem crop, and only the color with broccoli still keeps the secret of the future harvest.

Potatoes are trying to compete with cabbage in growth rates.

People often ask me: why do you need a garden? It takes up so much space in the garden, time for caring for vegetables ... And in general, it destroys the image of the garden. Some stupidity! A vegetable garden in the style of a Russian garden has always been an essential element. And the modern assortment of vegetable crops is so rich that you can create a spectacular flower garden only from different types of cabbage. Look at lettuce

A garden for a villager is an important source of food, for a city dweller it is a pantry of natural flavors and a personal psychotherapist. Even our endless moaning about failure or weed control is an important attribute of summer vacation.
Here I am walking in my garden and they are outraged that the dill has become an aggressor. But I don’t rush to pull it out, but I grab the phone and call my neighbors-friends to call them to harvest fragrant greenery. And already routine work turns into a day of meeting friends. In general, the garden in the summer becomes an occasion to meet more often: either you collect a basket of cucumbers and take it to your old aunt, or you arrange an exchange of zucchini with a neighbor, or you call your friends for a tasting of your many varieties of tomatoes.

Yesterday, with the help of friends, we cleared the beds with onions from dill and it turned out that the onions of the winter planting are already forming an onion, and in the spring it is only building up a juicy powerful feather.

And the bed with fennel showed. that high mulching is urgently required - the formation of cabbage heads has begun:

And the peas have to be directed all the time to the support, because the wet stems stubbornly try to lie on the ground.

In the greenhouse, tomatoes demonstrate full-fledged ovary brushes, but eggplants also feel very good in the open field, although all the time I want to cover them with at least a non-woven.

Swinged and began to bear fruit cucumbers. And, finally, the first ovary appeared at the vegetable marrow.

Yes, the photo immediately shows where you need to urgently weed, mulch or feed, and even notice signs of an incipient disease. In general, I posted a photo and immediately wrote a work plan for the weekend. But the straw under the fennel and zucchini should be put right now!
