Hats off to its determination.
There is a special story of this lemon tree, which started probably a decades back, when the boy was a kid. I often encouraged him to get involved in gardening from very early age and as a result he planted a seed, taken out of a lemon at home. That lemon was gifted by someone and was special in size and quality, so the kid loved it and thought, we should have a similar tree. It was planted in a small pot in balcony and with time it grew and created inconvenience in the balcony, as we have a very small balcony, and the thorns would often pinch. One day I decided, we will give it to someone, but the kid developed sentiments with it, so he asked me to take and plant in a bigger plastic container which I did. Eventually, it grew bigger and the kid wanted me to bring it to my native and plant somewhere. And now let me show you the interesting part.
I brought it to my native, but never could plant it and as a result it stayed in that poly bag only.
But look at that - it broke the poly bag and started developing its root and this year, we have quite a lot of lemon coming in it, which made me feel shy, seeing it's determination to grow. A plant never grew like this in my entire gardening career - it never stopped adopting to all kind of challenges and still growing. Now I am thinking, how to build a boundary of soil around it, and still not got the idea, because after that, I will cut that poly bag to allow it grow from all sides. Some amount of brain storming going on - if you have an idea, please advise. Nature is so fascinating - at times, these plants encourage us to do more - gardening is so much fun.
And this star gooseberry plant has created joy this year by bearing fruit for the first time. They have a sour taste but they can help reduce inflammation and protect our body from oxidative stress. We soak them in salt and add a little green chili before enjoying that mind blowing taste. Kids do not like them much but still we encourage them to eat few, explaining the benefits. That is how you pass on the knowledge to them. Now let me present you some varieties of flower photos - I never have to worry to go and pluck flowers in very early morning like in our society.
When I look close at these flowers, I feel, nothing can match the colors of nature - so many colors perfectly blended.
Our backward is full of flowers and birds - mom keeps water for them, and they enjoy the ambience and we their company.
This year we are going to have a good yield of coconuts - essential part of our daily living.
Mom did a nice usage of a obsolete container.
And I loved these small but beautiful flowers - she brought small stems from somewhere she traveled and whatever she plants grows nicely.
I brought and planted some all seasoned inca saplings here as well - nothing was on plan in the summer, so why not try something new !!! In exchange now I have taken few stems of these small flowers, may be you will see them in my future post. Whenever I come here, I plan all activities to complete all her work, yesterday, we went for a doctor consultation, and he said, its good to see her working so hard at this age of 74 - source of my inspiration as well.
Before I wrap, let me present you a spectacular gift from Nature - who can tell about this plant ? More to come on this...

The lemon tree has grown very strong. Breaking the bag and still growing lemons is amazing. The good thing is that nature never gives up so effort will yield results as beautiful as yours. The whole place is just full of life and color too. Nice work on it
Those flowers planted by your mom are looking very attractive and healthy, your mom must be a good gardener.
Nature is impressive; it never ceases to amaze us. Just when we think we've seen it all, things like what you just saw happen.
What determination this plant has had! It deserves something to help it thrive.
Thank you so much, dear friend @sanjeevm, for sharing this experience.
Wow, amazing that the lemon tree has survived and now flourishing. The gardens look great, and I wish you the best with your new transplants.

It was good to know about the yield of lemon tree and the history of lemon tree. Our house also once had a lemon tree that produced good lemons but has not had a lemon tree for many years. A few days ago my father bought a lemon tree seedling and planted it. Nice to see your garden.
I loved those flowers. They are so colourful and mesmerizing.
Nice post

I have heard about so much that the lemon tree and leaves is capable of doing
Interesting story behind lemon tree and appreciation your consideration. It's also like a life lessons to learn and follow.
The photographs of your friend's mother's garden in his birthplace are great, and the determination of the lemon tree is great because it adapted to all the adversities and has grown enough to bear fruit. Nature is simply incredible.
Greetings friend, and if you place wood around the lemon plant, make sure it is at a height of, let's say, 50 centimeters to cover the main roots very well and thus be able to ensure that it can continue growing, since it must be helped because its determination is maximum, but the important thing is that it can achieve it and in the future be able to enjoy better lemon harvests.
What a tremendous story that lemon plant has, my friend, it is one with great determination and I hope that soon I can make the necessary arrangements so that you can obtain a better harvest. In addition, in your mother's garden there is another great variety of plants
if i was there, i would have asked you to plucked those lemons for me.
The lemon tree is a huge example of nature. No matter what circumstance, nature will surely keep growing and proving itself
