HIVE GARDEN: OUR FIRST HARVEST (photos)

in HiveGarden9 months ago (edited)

The most pleasant time in gardening is harvest, of course😊. But the thing is if we don't work hard, we'll never get this time...

So nature teaches us be patient and hardworking to get her best treasure.

Our garden works go on 4 days a week, We water our plants, remove weeds, make other caring works to help our trees and veggies to grow better.
And of course we protect them from snails, there are dozens of them there, and they all are hungry, and you can't imagive now much they can eat!!

Now i'll show you some pieces of our recent visit to the garden.
It's a hot summer, and the main task is to water plants.

cucumbers need very much water!

But at least we get reeally tasty and natural veggiws because in the market it's total trash....

Peppers are fine this year!

Eggplants are a new thing for us, but it seems they feel Ok;)

Tomatoes

Apples

gooseberry harvest is good this year too!

Pears are very tasty and sweet, but...birds also like them and eat them even more than us:))

Grapes

Then we have our tasty harvest and go home tired and happy😊💚

That’s an excellent variety you’ve got! Hopefully you are able to preserve a lot of that food for the autumn and winter!

actually, no:( we've a nice variety , as you've mentioned, but so much of veggies or fruits to preserve them for a winter;(
as a rule I try to buy some to put into my fridge because fresh berries or veggies in winter are so adorable! in markets they all are not naturasl at all:(

and do you preserve anything for winter?

We do! We don’t have a really large freezer but it’s a good enough size where we can freeze a fair bit of food for the winters. Last year we froze the farm fresh food that we cut up throughout the end of the summer and got it ready for the winter. I was eating a soup once a day with a little bit of meat in it 5 out of the 7 days a week in the winter so it saved quite a bit of money! Plus it’s all freshly frozen so the nutrients are at their peak which is great!

I love freshly frozen berries, we go picking and immediately throw most of them in the freezer which is great.

Whoa! You have a variety of harvest. What a fulfilling feeling to harvest different vegies and fruits in one setting.

it's really cool but it requires so much time and efforts

Yeah. It is the time and effort you allocated that makes it more fulfilling. Time and efforts were paid off! 👏
