Summer season is coming soon in the highland where the plants in my mom’s garden is waiting for the first rain marking the summer time.

Summer is very harsh for the plants in my hometown but in my mom’s garden. Since she is so busy to prepare my sister’s wedding, she has no more time to start planting vegetables and herbs. She just keep continuing to take care of the rest of plants in the garden, most of it are flowers and ornamental plants and old herb.

I have no count but I guess she has more than 50 plants in the garden. And this is the right time for them to bloom in every day. They are often being watered and in the morning and afternoon by my mom and also being fertilized following the period of their development. That is the reason why my mom’s garden always bring the lovely green and colorful shade.

Beside the flowers, the fruit trees also bloom and bear fruit especially the durian flowers. Whenever this tree bloom, the scent of it is too strong to attract the bee and other insect in order to pollinate successfully. I do love eating durian but enjoying the aroma of its flowers.

Staying next to the durian is the jack fruit tree. After 3 years of planting and growing up, it had a first ripe one 2 weeks ago, and now there are still 4 mature fruits are waiting for ripping.
Although the area of my mom’s garden is quite narrow, she can arrange and mix a lot of trees with different types to create the small world for its living.

In this morning, my mom just pick up 5 baby kales to grow in the garden after hearing the advice of the seller. Kale is good for human health especially when we press its leaves and drink in the morning.

A beautiful small world!

Your mom is a genus! Up to 50 varieties of plants and herbs; that’s great.

I hope you can it up from her when she retires.

Beautiful looking garden. I don't know much about growing Durians, why is it wrapped in the bag? To keep the pests at bay? This is probably common knowledge, but I don't know much about it.

The fruit wrapped in the bag is jackfruit, it is not durian. We have to do that to keep them out of the harmful insects.

I see! thanks for the clarification. The garden looks great.

This one looks like a Daisy, is it?
