With @outlinez thid week we spent five days in our garden and did a lot of work.
Besides digging and weeding, we planted several types of beans - black salad beans, asparagus beans and old beans.
We also planted two types of corn - sweet and popcorn, pumpkins, red beets and lots of flowers. This week we also planted savory - a favorite spice in our family.
I transplanted plants, planted and plucked seedlings.
Picking seedlings for tomatoes:
We also planted arugula seeds - a whole bed, but not a single seed sprouted. Now we planted again - hopefully it will be more successful.
From the previous sowing of arugula in the fall, plants remained that grew very tall and beautiful. Here are some pictures of them:
Moving the French lavender to a new location.
In the old place, part of the plant started to dry and its neighbors in the beds may have turned out to be unsuitable, so I decided to move it. The timing is right and so far I think the lavender likes his new place.
Pepper seedlings:
Garlic and onions are growing well:
We have lettuce grown from seed, but at the beginning of the month we also planted seedlings:
Unfortunately this year the pea seeds we purchased did not turn out to be very germinating and the peas are not growing as well as they did last year.
The first potatoes are showing up from the ground.
Under a shed we have cucumbers and zucchini. Some of them were planted from seedlings and others from seeds at the end of March. It's still cold at night and we keep them under nylons:
The sunsets that can be seen from our yard are wonderful.
Today we go home in the city, satisfied with the work done.
Thank you for stopping by!
