I just had to do a quick doodle today to get this idea out of my head U can totally tell what inspired me yep, my morning cup was just sitting there looking at me. I haven't added any colors yet because I really wanted to focus on getting the shape and the personality right first.
I’m really happy with how the steam on top turned into a little decorative curl that gives the character such a whimsical vibe. I also went for some bold, thick eyebrows like my previous and large eyes because I’m practicing how to give the character more expression . Those tiny ballet style legs and shoes at the bottom are a bit of a challenge for me with proportions, but I think they make the whole teacup body look really dainty and fun.just love the shape of it
The lines are sketchy and raw, but I like it that's the aesthetic. I’m just enjoying the process of turning everyday objects into little friends, even if I’m still learning how to balance all the details.

What color do u think would suit this character best —maybe a classic porcelain white or something more colorful like a floral pattern?

I think a floral pattern might obscure the lovely expressions you've got.

maybe a subtle pattern? or some coffee/tea stains?
