That was how my business crumbled and I could not immediately revive it. When I came back from my business trip, I realized it was not a wise decision I had made, perhaps I would have trained a responsible family member or someone I trust and that would have saved my business from going down.

It was a decision I regretted and it was also an experienced that later saved my subsequent business from going shipwreck.

• There are many reasons why you should recruit your family members into your business as an entrepreneur and here are just a few of those reasons:

•Death. Living and never preparing for death is a big risk for an entrepreneur. Meaningful questions such as, ‘what if I die today? If I am no more, do I have any of my children or family member who can keep the business running successfully? Will my business be gone once I cease to live? , etc., should frequently be asked.

Most entrepreneurs do not have a good succession plan for the businesses they are operating, and many times as a result of this, a business that would have brought generational wealth to their families are gone once they are dead, sometimes not because there was no one in the family to take over from them, but mostly because the person taking over from them has never been part of the business from the onset.

• Recruiting your children into your business will make them responsible, even at a tender age. A lot of parents who are entrepreneurs do not like bringing their children into the business that they are doing because they feel they are too young to be introduced into the business and they make their children to feel that money grows on grass.
