I have a big update for this month's HBD Savings update. My family has hit hard times because the government has halted construction of our lodge, and now we have spent our life savings on something that is not earning us an income. Also, my wife's health has gone downhill even more the last 6 months and now I basically need to be a full-time caregiver, househusband, and stay-at-home father.
Because we live in the middle of nowhere my working opportunities are non-existent, so I am left with a tough choice. I have decided to withdraw the $3,000 HBD from the account and use it to buy a plane ticket to see my aging parents in the USA. It may very well be the last time I see them, but I am also taking a haul of Cambodian crafts with me, and will attempt to sell them in order to earn back the money with interest, hopefully enough to replenish the ASEAN Hive HBD Savings and also have enough to take care of my family for 6 months to a year.
I'm leaving on December 11th and returning in late December or January, not 100% sure yet how things will go or if I will be successful with my sales. Anyhow, the main thing is that I will continue dispensing the same amount of HBD Savings each month regardless of the account being dry. I split the difference of the last couple months' earnings and came up with $38 HBD, so that is the amount I will continue to dispense each month. If I don't have time to post a blog and explain what's going on with my life, just know that I love you all and the last 6 months have been some really hard times for my family and I.
