Originally I wanted to have a real water buffalo wandering around the VIP Lounge, but when I considered the potential dung mess, I decided a mechanical version might a better idea. Then suddenly an idea popped into my head, perhaps we can have a rideable mechanical water buffalo for ASEAN VIP cowboys and cowgirls. I then began calling the most skilled craftsmen in Southeast Asia to try and find someone willing to take on this build.
After finding a willing builder, construction immediately began on our rideable mechanical water buffalo, and it was finished a little too fast for my tastes. Safety concerns aside though, this is an awesome addition to the lounge, and I look forward to seeing ASEAN VIPs trying to ride for a full 8 seconds. An 8-second ride is the minimum respectable time for any cowboy or girl wanting to flex their riding skills on a bucking water buffalo, so hang on tight ASEAN Hivers. Restaurants in Da Nang: They could be better

In this small area of Da Nang that I live in there are at least 12 Indian restaurants that all serve the same dishes, 25 burger places that are all equally crap, basically everywhere has pizza which is all mostly terrible, and now even the Mexican and Korean restaurant field has been flooded to the point where it isn't possible for any of them to have a realistic customer base.
The beach gets absolutely mobbed in the evenings in Da Nang

A majority of the tourists that come here are Asian and as you may already know, it is part of most Asian's culture to not want to get a tan or be in the sun for long periods of time unless they have to. Therefore the early mornings and the evenings are the most popular times to go to the beach here. This is in stark contrast to the Western idea of how the beach is used as all of us just run the gambit of skin cancer and sunscreen it up and take our chances.

Ria's class is Monday to Thursday, so if they had no class today they need to attend until Friday. It's still on their teacher decision, my post for today is all about my grade 8 son. His been assigned to joined the scout program on their school. Her elder sis was so proud after seeing him. She told me that she can't help smiling after seeing it doing their practice. Under the hot son 🥵.
Going out on a rainy day and some of our moments

I have not seen such rain for two to three months. Suddenly it started raining today, it would be wrong to say it suddenly, as if the sky had changed a lot since yesterday. There was lightning in the sky, it seemed like it would rain. I was also watching news on TV that it would rain in the sky for several days.

Before I even opened this post I was thinking that a water buffalo is far more appropriate in this country than a bull would be. I've never seen a bull here but at least where I lived in Thailand the water buffalos were all over the place.
Ever seen the water-buffalo fights? They jokingly refer to it as "Muay Quai" in Thailand after the martial art of Muay Thai. "Quai" just means buffalo in Thai.
My pleasure of course. I haven't had much time to post or engage lately because we've been dealing with visa issues and a host of other things, but life goes on. I need to catch up on all of your blog posts because I've only had time to read one here and there.
I have never heard of buffalo fights, can't even imagine them exerting any unnecessary effort. Gonna keep this in mind next time I dive into the rabbit hole on YouTube.
I think these particular buffalo are goaded into it. They just lock horns or bump heads over and over again until one of them gives up. It seems rather inhumane but at least both of the animals survive. It isn't like the running of the bulls where they slowly exhaust a bull and stab it over and over again killing it over the course of several hours.
Geez, that's intense. Here in Cambodia when "water buffalo" is used as slang, it's generally a teacher talking down to a slow student. Nobody wants to get called a water buffalo by the teacher.
