RE: Thailand vs. Vietnam, traffic and roads competition part 1

That whole bypass system is a pretty amazing thing when you think about it. The fact that so many big cities in the US employees it sort of validates it too. I know Columbus, Indianapolis, and Lexington all have that kind of ring outside the city center that makes it easier to get from one side of the city to the other. Different subject, but I just found out this morning that they opened a new Vietnamese restaurant in the mall in my hometown. It's been forever since I have been in that mall, but I still live close and I might have to check it out sometime. If nothing else so I can show you how Vietnamese food is represented in the middle of Michigan!

I would be willing to bet that they mostly focus on fresh spring rolls, which I don't really care for, and Pho, which is kind of the national dish. I don't really rate Pho, but I guess it is ok. After 10 years of living in Thailand I was always going to be disappointed with the food here because Thai food is just so incredible that it isn't really fair to compare the two.

Yeah, that makes sense. I saw a photo the other day and I definitely noticed pho. I think there was also a bon mi or two on the menu.
