RE: Getting a minor cold over a long period of time sucks

I know your pain honestly. I am on meds for high blood pressure and when you take those you can't take the good meds that have all of that wonderful stuff in them. The high blood pressure cough syrup works, but not nearly as well as the fully leaded stuff. It's annoying for sure!

if you have blood pressure issues you aren't supposed to take strong medication? that could be a problem for me

No, it's something with the pseudoephedrine. They actually make special decongestants and cough syrups for people that are on high blood pressure meds.

I suppose this is one problem with living in a country where they will just let you buy whatever the hell you want from the pharmacy. I very well could be taking various medications that you are not supposed to take together.

Well you can't buy the stuff that people make meth out of, but basically anything else and you can buy enough to kill everyone in your neighborhood and nobody bats an eye.

Haha, that is pretty funny. We likely have too many regulations here, but I guess erring on the side of caution is probably better with no happy medium to be found.

Do you still need a prescription to get antibiotics in USA?

Yes, but for a while now antibiotics are free. They did something to lower the cost so most people don't need to pay for them when they are prescribed.

I recall a time when in order to get antibiotics you still had to go pay a doctor $50 for the consultation. I haven't lived in USA for nearly 20 years though so what do i know?
