Welcome to Camotes Island

Beauty in Camotes Island:
I worked in the Coop for almost 18 years and I was assigned before the pandemic in the municipality of Tudela for one year. Today, as we prepared with my team to document some of the success stories there with our members and clients I remember all my memories here. We woke up at three in the morning to catch the ferry for a 5:30 am schedule. It was so an exciting moment that year after the pandemic we will go back again to this place where I use to stay and sleep 3 days and 2 nights due to work.

Jomalia Shipping lines:
One of the most popular ferries bound for Camotes Island is Jomalia shipping lines and if you are bringing a car I would suggest book earlier to avoid some delays and stressful travel. I remember some uncomfortable moments when there were so many vehicles inside the ferry, all you need is to watch the hand signal so that you can park properly and avoid hitting those cars inside. There were times that it was so difficult to go out and enter the car since the ferry load more plenty of vehicles inside.

Jestrera Delicacy:
One of our Coop members is mam Lorna Estrera, she owns the Jestrera Delicacy and if it happens that you visited Camotes Island you miss some delicious snacks if you will not drop by her store in the municipality of Poro Camotes. Her delicacies are so delicious like camote polvoron, otap, powder turmeric, corn coffee, and many more. One of the best decisions that mam Lorna had is to help her fellowmen in Poro Camotes by providing jobs for the housewife. The family also owned some farm lot in which they grew there own camote as one of the ingredients for their delicious delicacy.

Promoting our member's business:
One of the reasons that we travel here is to document her story of how she started the business, and how our coop help her finance her business. To give more beautiful shots during interviews, we use our drone to fly over her store and capture some beautiful shots. We will help her by creating her own video for free and promoting it to our social media account through youtube and Facebook page. In this case, her store will be more visible to the market and gain more customers and sales. Here, you will see the drone flying, and one of her staff entertain us.

Beach Lot for Sale:
We also receive information from my technical director that one of his close friends wanted to sell this property to a beach lot and we drop by to check and made some photos. You will see Rhoniel our director checking the property. This place is so beautiful though you need to walk a little but look at the crystal clear water so tempting to dive. Those beautiful trees and plants was so relaxing to me. The smell of the wind breeze catches my breath truly amazing.
