Philippines is one of the country being struck with typhoons that affect the agriculture, transportation and fabric industry. Here in our place where agriculture is the top source of livelihood and one of the challenging event during typhoon is transportation
Due to geographical challenges or in short, we are living in the mountainous area of Northern Luzon Philippines. We are known as Igorot or people in the mountain.

However, we have this traditional culture that we keep on nourishing everytime we face challenges.Our road network is at risk of landslide and everytime there is typhoon, we wxpect landslide along the Barangay road.

We have this community that practices unity for work or what we call "community service" or in Tagalog it called "Bayanihan" and in our native language, we call it "Binnadang" or "Gamal"

We work voluntarily, not expecting something in return.
I hope this practice will be passed to the next generation. In our community youth are engaged in joining community services. We have to instill to them the importance of community engagement thru unity,cooperation and volunteerism.

We have to noursish their heart and mind to cultivate unity in their heart and let them lead even in their young age.

Most of the time, when we conduct community service, youth are always present. They had also an organization that they also do charity works for the needy and community service such clean up drive along the river and along the brgy road.

That is why they keep on telling that we have a good community, good people and because we have good leaders also.
