Do I have to say more ? :))
I think I can somehow imagine that :)).
For one week there were no grudges. It is hard to describe that kind of warmth, except you know exactly what I'm talking about 🌹
Oh yeah..I think I know what you meant here as well.
It's similar with our tradition in Indonesia. Eid al- Fitr is a holiday after Ramadhan fasting which is done as "spiritual cleansing" :). So, everything are supposed to be forgiven and forgotten.
The typical greetings in Indonesian when we meet friends and family during this festival is "May we be among those who return to their pure selves" and "I sincerely apologize for everything said and done from the bottom of my heart."
If I want to be sarcastic though...: Let's do the cleaning for one month, ask for forgiveness during festival and then make a bunch of new sins the next year hahahhahaha...
Then the cycle starts again :-D.
I hope your family continues to be happy as this new home becomes truly theirs.
Thank you...good wishes to you and family too there.
