We finally arrived in the Philippine...

Hello dear Hiveians..how are you doing there?

Time flies so fast that I didn't really notice, how long I have been abandoning my blog.
Well yeah... there were so many things to deal with and prepare for our migration planning
so that I simply had not much time and energy left to update my blog.
From trying to sell our house, researching many things related to the target country as well as all things we need to settle in Germany to prevent having serious problem in regard of laws and each applied rules, then starting to collect necessary documents one after another, managing all the financial matters and doing the best we could to prepare a back up plan or safety net.

After the house was finally sold it's still a huge load of stuffs needed to be done.
We're actually the type who always kept things simple in our home, we're practical type of people...neverthless so unbelievable that we still had such a huge load of things needed to be disposed from our now sold house. Just disposing the books alone was already an exhausting job
and then one can't really imagine how many folders of documents we had to filter out between those can be shredded without securing it in digital version first, those can be disposed without a care and those needed to be preserved securely.

We're just a normal family for God sake, not running a company... but our folder collections were just like those of a small firm T_T.
You can't imagine how satisfying was every single moment of shredding papers.
The sound of torn paper was just like the sound of a beautiful music LOL.

But then again the struggle of trying to cancell all the contract we had made in order to live decently in Germany and preparing new ones we possibly still need later abroad (such as health insurance etc...),
trying to find a new home in a new country.
I have migrated once... and gone through the hassle of moving into another country, struggling with all the paperworks...however atleast I had someone in my target land who could hold it up when the sky collapsed, but this time... we have no body. We need to struggle independently in a land foreign to our family.
But we made it rather well, sofar...

In fact, I still had unsettled feelings previously, however now...
after so many trouble that we still had to deal with after the sales of our house was finalized and notarized...
Then came the last thing that completely convinced me to also think that this decision was good for our mental health :-D .
While digitalizing all the documents we need to secure properly suddenly came the news of the strike.
Yess....the strike. was the thing that completely settled my mind.

I was doing the multitasking of scanning our documents, filtering the last staple of clothes that we still fit in the luggage and which one to depose, sorting out the medical supply and other miscelaneous things and formatting gadgets that we plan to discard etc..when suddenly we got the news that the airport might be closed down the next day for indefinite time.
I was panicked as the travel agency where we booked the flight didn't even give us any notice.
After more than an hour chat with the CS of Singapore Airlines, finally the CS found seats for our family at that same day but unfortunately there was no seats anymore for all connecting flight with shorter transit time.
Our booked seats were naturally no longer usable, but we just can't complain to SIA as the staff has already done her best to help us.
We were already lucky enough to be able to fly that day.
After we finally landed in the Philippine in exhaustion, reading the news about the strikes that still ongoing made me feel so relieved, that we managed to get away from Germany that day, even if the trip was nearly driving me mad.

Imagine to pack up all your things and make sure that nothing important was forgotten in just one hour!!
Many things that I actually still wanted to sort out and perhaps still fit in my luggage was simply abandoned.
We were rather fortunate to have very helpful family members ready to support us and that most of our things have been packed already.
Neverthless I was still restless the whole journey trying to think whether I have forgotten anything important.

Anyway I was sooo proud of my little girl who didn't complain at all that she had to sit all alone in the long haul flight as our prior booked seats were not available anymore. Everytime I came to check on her during the flight she always convinced me that everything is good. She could call the flight attendant independently when she needed help... what a little angel we have <3.

I must say that Changi is really very good. Children can play while waiting for their flight, the airport is very clean and tidy, the toilets are clean and comfortable, no smell to notice and so many choices of delicacies to cushion your stomach.
It's quite ok even if you don't want to spend money for a lounge or a hotel for transit.

Here we are finally reaching our destination.

Afterwards we could finally take a rest on a really comfortable bed :),
in a nice neighbourhood.

This is the night view of the front gate of the estate.

In the picture below you can see the community garden where any of the residents in this estate could nurture their gardening hobby and plants their favourite vegetables :).
Sofar I haven't seen any of my neighbours doing that... inwardly I can't help thinking that maybe people here thinking that raising plants are the job of the poors, the farmers :-D, hence none of condo owner is interested in doing that whereas those who are living in the big villas here must definitely have personal gardeners anyway LOL.

I am now still just a tenant here, but as soon as we got the deed, I guess I'd ask how is the procedure that I need to go through so that I can also work in the community garden. Maybe I wouldn't be doing as much as I once did in my own garden in Germany but knowing that I have the opportunity to plant things should be quite nice :).

The nicest part is that this garden is just in front of the condos, just beside the park where the residents could have a grill party together and watching their children playing around.
In this picture you can see there are 2 buildings still on the making.
The last unit available that is ready for occupancy is now reserved by us 😍 and just waiting for the transfer of the deeds 😜.

The pool is just like a private swimming pool here, because it's nearly always empty 😁. It's either not many of residents here like swimming or perhaps the biggest part of owners here are buying the property for investment purpose only and just come for a holiday occasionally, hence the community is rather quite if you compare it with somewhere else in this city.

Well... I think it should be enough for today's post, I'll try to give you another update about our new adventure in the new country soon enough...
